While that is not a bad practice, I had no idea their policy is they have to talk to a person the day of delivery. I was away and did not get the call and didn't check email until late that afternoon. Although her house is only 10 minutes away from the shop, and there was someone home all day, they did not attempt to deliver them. I expressed how disappointed I was to have missed sending flowers on the occassion and suggest they make it clear on their website that they must talk to a person on the day of delivery. I asked for a refund as the occassion has passed. They sent a rude and terse email with no empathy or any type of solution. They instead went ahead and delivered the flowers. Flowers that are now two days old and two days late. So while they wouldn't deliver on the scheduled deliver day without talking to a person they went ahead and did that two days later. Leaving an old arrangement on her doorstep, which sat there for the day, as she is at work. I'll go elsewhere in future and suggest you do too.
