I am not sure if it is exactly a department store, but it is definitely a store that has it all. In a smaller proportion of a department store and ALL at £1. I had only seen these shops in America and never particularly liked them, my opinion for the British version remains. It is crowded, if you have a stroller you might as well not go inside. It is a mess, things are on the floor, on the wall, on their sale racks and anywhere else you an imagine. If you are going to pay £1 for a product you expect it to be of a certain quality. I bought some tea towels that begun disintegrating after two washes, threw them away after a month. This is when I begun realizing that is really not worth it in the end, imagine how many I would have had to buy? Money I could have spent in a better quality fabric and would have lasted longer, better for me and the environment. I suppose if you are after stationary, DIY, toiletries, toys, home decor, batteries, clothing, baby, home ware, pet care or hobbies you will find it here as cheap as it gets, just don't expect it to be good quality or ethical. read more
