I visited this multi-racial, multi-cultural Bible believing church while traveling through Texas last year (They meet in a new building at 8838 Trimmier Rd -- not at the building pictured or address listed on this Yelp page!). I was warmly greeted and noted many military families in attendance. The worship service was excellent and the entire experience was uplifting. The guest speaker that day shared a powerful testimony of coming to Christ while in the Army. I often travel across country and visit Pentecostal Churches wherever I go. I admit I favor Potter's House churches from this fellowship (not affilitated with TD Jakes) because they adhere to Book of Acts style evangelism and worship. But in this case, I had brought a family member with me who was not attending a church. He loved it. In fact, after I left town, he continued to attend, was baptized and has experienced the life-changing power of God here. That in itself is enough to make me recommend this church. I absolutely will be returning here for worship and fellowship on my next visit to Texas. Highly Recommended! read more

Very obvious the last post is a disgruntled backslider - The Potter's House is a church that does exactly what Jesus called us to do - there's no person controlling anyone - people with harsh attitudes and people who complain the most you will always find those are people who give nothing and do nothing for God - if you want to finally experience an atmosphere where God is moving and God is in "CONTROL" - not any man - then I encourage you to go and see for yourself - and listen to all the testimonies of all the different people who will tell you how God changed their life from who they use to be - and who they are today- Of course there will always be 1 out of a 100 who will be a hardened closed hearted person who will lash out simply to try to cover up their own fear of actually being responsible and accountable and challenged by the Word of God - read more

That is really ridiculous that you have someone that's supposed to be a man of God walking around with his telling people that going to hell I would not recommend anyone to attend this church or their service or affiliate themselves with this how disgusting you are for what you did lady at complex. I added the one star because that's the only way my review would get up here you guys don't deserve no stars. read more

So apparently this church is ok with its members harassing people of other faiths. Maybe they should condemn that person's actions and remove him from the congregation? Maybe trespass him from the premises? Maybe send the message that believing in Jesus doesn't mean bullying others that worship differently than you do? In fact... why not all of the above? read more

GREAT CHURCH! Very Diverse! Lots of mixed couples/families. Pastor is a Puerto Rican from Chicago. I know this because he made the effort to come greet me since he realized I was a visitor. (Not sure what all the "racist" reviews are talking about!). Energetic worship and great preaching! I was greeted multiple times. Everyone is so nice! read more
