Banana rum sauce was tasty and a good addition. -PRD casserole: not worth it bc it's old fries and not a lot of it. Reminds me of chilli fries but with less chilli and fried egg on top. Bf said it could've used more spice and kick. Overall, decent diner food, but can't compare to the diners in NJ. Service was great. The service has been bad at times, but also good - when compared to Silver Star Diner, PRD kicks the crap out of them. If they were kindergarteners on the playground, PRD would pull down SSD's pants and force the whole class to see their white ass. The food is good and the place is clean by why does no one follow directions for takeout orders?! This is the second time I've done take out instead of eating in. I asked for my fries to be put in a brown paper bag and they were placed in a closed container, not my fries are extremely soggy and not edible. Also, they advertise paninis but they don't even have a panini press. So instead of having a veggie panini, I have a grinder that was placed in the grill. Searching for a good meal after running a 5k for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, we refueled at the Post Road Diner. All meals were plentiful and delicious. Most meals were expensive (definitely 2 dollar signs) but if you search the menu there are some good deals such as the short stack deluxe and the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. There was a wait on this Sunday morning but the waiting area was clean and air conditioned and the wait was not too long. Carmella, our server, was efficient, pleasant, and had a winning smile. One of my favorite diners on the area. I love the atmosphere in there. The waiters are super sweet and the look of that place is so 50s. Now to the food the price is absolutely ok for the size of the portions. French fries are delicious so is the triple decker roast beef sandwich. I must confess that I drove by here a number of times thinking it was past its prime and beat up. I was wrong. Inside, it is renovated and fresh. For starters I got 5 strips of buffalo wings for $10 that tasted like frozen chicken nuggets dipped in red hot franks sauce. They were edible but I wouldn't recommend it. I also got the Costa Rican breakfast dish that sounded so yummy. I went to Costa Rica a few summers ago and loved their cuisine so when I saw this on the menu I knew what I was going to order. Have eaten here many times, it's easily the best diner food I've ever had. The staff are pretty nice, though sometimes they disappear for a little while. That doesn't take away from the dining experience at all because the food is just so good.
