Angela had to work in the rain and the forest fires smog in Furry Creek. But what she came up with - which only someone with tremendous creativity could do - is made it work to her advantage. The photos of Carolyne/Ashley were almost ethereal. She has incredible patience, a never-ending smile and a lovely warmth. She made all of us feel like my daughter's wedding was as special for her to shoot as it was for us. She worked tirelessly throughout the evening being somehow everywhere at once.....and yet, never in an obtrusive way. By the way, her assistant is equally as lovely.... Registration is free, but act fast once it opens since there are only 16 spots available! For our workshop, we painted a nightscape, starting off with a gradient sky, followed by mountains, the moon, and additions of our choice. Art From The Heart provided step-by-step instructions, in addition to a canvas, paint, easel, brushes, and palettes. Note that smocks are not provided, so dress accordingly as it could get messy. Our instructors were very encouraging and helpful, coming around to provide advice, paper towels, and more paint as needed. With a few simple brush strokes, the owner, Maria, even transformed my trees to make them look more realistic! Our instructors also kindly handled cleanup, though the nearby Circle K was available for anyone to wash their hands. All in all, it made for a very fun and relaxing night! I appreciated that the workshop was in the shade (especially with this heatwave!) with every pair having their own table. I also love that this event provides everyone, beginner or not, to explore their creativity while being outdoors.

We needed bartenders for a work event a couple months back. We purchased our own beverages but Pam delivered ice and bins early on the day of the event so drinks will be nicely chilled by the time the bar had to be opened. The bartenders she assigned to us were Cindy and Sienna and they were also wonderful. They gave very good suggestions on how to set up the bar and get lines moving efficiently and also offered help in other areas needed for the event to run smoothly when the bar wasn't busy. We will definitely go for YVR Event Staff again in the future as Pam and her team are amazing to work with!
