This was a huge disappointment. I was very excited to have boots custom-made by hand, by experts,…read morefor the first time in my life. Within two days of my starting to wear the boots, the cloth tag (for pulling them on) ripped off in my hand. Within a month of wearing them sporadically, part of one of the heels chipped off. Within six months of wearing them maybe 2x/week, there were holes in the center of the soles, at the ball of the foot. They fit okay, no better than off the rack shoes I have bought. These are the most expensive shoes I've ever bought, by about 300%. They took a month making them, only finishing them the day before I left BA. (They had promised them a week earlier.) A guarantee is all well and good, but not for people who live in another country.
Really lovely shoes, gorgeous designs and excellent quality leather. This is a classic cobbler that…read morehas a ton of history and excellent craftsmanship. Everything is made with an attention to detail and quality that is hard to find anywhere else. They also do custom orders, personalising colors, ties, making really special shoes that will last you a very long time. Places like Correa are very unique so its wonderful to be part of a process that has a real history and true skill at its heart.

My twin and I happened on this store after disembarking off of a cruise. The decor of the store…read more modern and it literally only has mens shoes ( and some belts, wallets - leather work) but like only four rows of mens shoes and that is it. High fashioned, interesting designs and what you see is what you get. We both spotted calf length boots with the coolest looking design on how the laces were tied up. Immediately trying them on they were comfortable and both of us closed our eyes at the price and bought them. ( we are Nordstrom rack budget type of guys ) I have plantar fasciitis on both feet so bad that I had to have orthotics designed for me. I can wear these boots all day without my orthotics and at the end of the day my feet are great!! My twin and I love these boots and get complimented all the time. I have already been in contact with the owner Gonzalo to have another pair of boots sent to me (this time in brown, my black ones have many miles to go {these shoes are built to last} ). I am also purchasing another pair of his cool looking dress shoes that I wanted last time and now I know (hindsight) I was stupid not to get them back then. (lol) But this mistake will be remedied. I will have these shoes. The owner was really nice and accommodating, the gal working with him was also really nice. I am a stickler for good customer service and they exceeded it naturally. These shoes are high end and they are worth every penny. My recommendation is the sexy rugged boots. My twin and I are really happy with them and they are our favorite shoes! I will have to take a picture of them next time I am out and about with them. I think the picture will speak for itself on how cool and comfortable they are.

I visited several shoe stores in the city and found Terán to be of the highest quality, with reasonable prices. They offer both contemporary and traditional designs. The day I bought my shoes, I was met by Gonzalo, who happened to be the owner and chief designer. I've rarely experienced such a high level of customer service. Gonzalo was very friendly and took the time to make sure I was completely comfortable and satisfied with my purchase. Furthermore, he was a wealth of knowledge when it came to local history/culture, and was very helpful in suggesting what I should do, and see while visiting the city. I highly recommend a visit to Terán when looking for shoes in Buenos Aires. Michael M.

The other is mostly purses and satchels for women. Almost all of the products are leather and in a multitude of pastel colors. The designs are so cool with seamless mix of retro and modern. Lots of attention to detail too. The soles of the shoes for example either have a molded design of Argentina or human metatarsals I think this is a stand-alone design house because when I asked, I was told this was the only place in the world to get these shoes. And boy was I ready to buy except... the entire block was out of electricity and I didn't have time before my flight to get cash. I didn't see anything in either store that I did not like a lot. So cool. I'll be back before Christmas. They don't have a website and their facebook page does not do them justice. https://www.facebook.com/TaconesLejanosArgentina/info

I'm pleased I did because I bought a pair of trainers which are so cool I can't believe I was lucky enough to spot them and make a purchase. They weren't cheap but if they were, they wouldn't be so well made and are leather inside as well as out. I'm reluctant to wear them because they are so nice but when I do, people will ask me where I got them. I will take pleasure in telling them to go to BA and get a pair. Not so easy from the UK! I can't find a website where I could look for another pair, suppose I could pick up the 'phone.
