MY CAR WAS COMPLETELY LEFT COVERED IN CIRCULAR MOTION SCRATCHES FROM TOP TO BOTTOM AND ESSO AS WELL AS HEAD OFFICE ARE DENYING RESPONSIBILITY.
Mr. Mac Donald from head office sent me a letter of acknowledgement in regards to my claim on October 8th 2024 at 1127 Chemong Rd, Peterborough, ON.
I am surprised to see that after reviewing all of the evidence they disagree that the carwash located at 1127 Chemong Rd did not damage my vehicle.
I provided pictures which showed the entire vehicle was covered in circular scratches, which were not present before the vehicle went into the carwash. I asked them to review the video footage of me pumping gas as well as entering the carwash afterwards (it was raining the day I took my car in, I didnt even need a wash the children just wanted to see the rainbow soap) and then exiting so that they could see all the details on the car themselves. I also provided pictures which were taken prior to the carwash which will show the car was not in fact damaged.
I asked them to provide me with a receipt to prove that this gas station was adhering to safety protocols and all equipment was functioning properly. I also like asked to be provided with a receipt of when the brushes in the car wash were cleaned, as I believe the brushes were holding particles and debris which scratched my vehicle as this is a well known cause for exactly what happened to my vehicle.
This man at head office would not allow me to speak with his manager and said the case is closed and would not provide me with anything requested.
He stated he would have his manager email me.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to ensure your ignorance in regards to this situation was relayed to me. It seems, through your e-mail, that you refuse to properly investigate a matter where my property was damaged due to your employees negligence to adhere to safety protocols and proper inspection of equipment.
Due to dirt and debris on the brushes of your equipment, my car was significantly damaged all around. In this case, I am thankful for the many witnesses who visually saw the damage caused by the carwash, and notably expressed the damage to the gas station attendee.
It would appear that your ignorance to provide me with information as to the last time the station was properly cleaned, and video evidence, would strongly indicate this is a regular occurrence for your company. It is astonishing that the response I received from you and your team is I cannot disclose that information, I cannot express why the claim was denied and this matter is closed without ANY explanation or evidence other than you found no evidence of responsibility on our part. It is a shame that as a business, and as management you feel your response is appropriate. Might i indicate again, I have pictures of my car PRIOR to entering the car wash, it is noted the car had no damage, as you would see in video evidence.
As I came out of the car wash, the car was visibly damaged with a multitude of circular scratches over then ENTIRE vehicle.
Please know that I will be taking this matter to the news, and ensuring that it is known the damage caused from the car wash, including the amounts in which it will cost to fix, to the public. I will also ensure that I include the ignorance that I was subjected to and the lack of explanation for your conclusion.
