American Tourist here.
This review is more of a tips posting than an actual review as the center was closed for MotoGP weekend when I was there. Although the center was technically closed, the staff was nice enough to let me look around the premises and take some photos.
If you plan to do any sort of driving or paid activity at the Center i would suggest reserving well in advance. There's multiple packages you can do and prices vary so I would really recommend calling and asking the staff which package is best for you before arriving.
We were planning to eat at the restaurant at the center...but besides it being closed that weekend, apparently the restaurant is not normally open anyways. It's not like a regular restaurant you can just eat at. You book ahead of time and they setup the restaurant for your group. So pretty much in order to eat there you would be doing like a corporate event or rolling in with a large private group..at least that's what the receptionist told me...
The "gift store" was very disappointing, i was hoping to at least buy a souvenir or two but there wasn't really anything worth buying.
In terms of the rest of the center it's pretty cool but not all that impressive. For comparison, the Porsche experience center in Carson California has a much better lobby area, a full time restaurant and much larger gift shop.
Now the REAL reason this particular Porsche Center location beats all the others is because it's at Le Mans. If you do the driving package you can drive on the actual Le Mans circuit.
Unfortunately we couldn't do it since it was closed...but we did drive down the Mulsanne straight in our little 68hp Peugot rental haha. read more
