My goal was to have the original band refurbished with a new diamond to present to her on our upcoming anniversary. Sam patiently showed me wonderful options in natural diamonds and my selection was made. The ring would be reborn with a stone over three times the size of the original, which was a fitting tribute to our over three decades of marriage. A week later I returned to pick up Sam's creation and nearly fell over at the craftsmanship and beauty of this wonderful piece. Sam meticulously educated us on 14 vs 18K gold, types of diamonds, prices, structural integrity vs. ring design, and so on and so forth. We wanted chevron rings that essentially needed to be custom made from scratch and Sam took our ideas and made it far more perfect than we could have ever imagined. From simple sketches to wax molds to actual product, it was beautiful from start to finish. So if you're looking for a fairly affordable place that actually cares about your jewelry and your ideas, and can customize pretty liberally, then Modern Jewelers is your place. The cherry on top is Sam gave me a complimentary ring box that lights up with my fiancée's engagement ring and it sparkled so much that I was dazzled and temporarily blinded, but it was all so worth it. Oh, yeah, huge shout to Sam also for the complimentary impromptu photoshoot when we picked up our rings! We can't stress how happy we are with Sam and Modern Jewelers!
