Great new kosher restaurant in the valley! This one is dairy and fish but it's the same owners as tlv tapas! I really enjoyed the Greek salad, Bourekas's, and knafe! It's more on the pricey end but great for a special occasion! Beautiful Ambiance. Cesar was an amazing server too!

My bf and I have been eyeing this place because we're biiiiig fans of Tel Aviv Grill and finally decided to check it out for lunch. When we came there wasn't a wait but I've seen it busy at times. They have seating inside and some outdoor tables too. You order like a typical sit-down restaurant, the waiter comes to take your order, brings you your food, then the check. We ordered the whole denise fish and you get one choice of side with that - we got the israeli salad (cucumbers, tomatoes, onion). They bring out a beautiful rotating platter of dips with freshly warm pita and a side plate of hummus. You can't help but just dig right in. The hummus is to die for, I could have licked the plate clean by the end of it. The pita is deliciously fluffy and fresh. It's fun to try all the little side bowls - everything from baba ganoush to salsas to quinoa salad. After some time, the fish came out! It was lightly fried and tasty, especially with the squeeze of lemon. Really tasty meal overall. My bf got the limonana drink - it's light and not overly sweet, lots of blended mint. Friendly service here too. Would definitely come back!

Popular Restaurant is a great new spot in Encino serving delicious Middle Eastern cuisine with a tapas style small plates. The sashimi, salads, fresh bread, fish schnitzel, and grilled kolorabi were all excellent. Beautiful, clean atmosphere with great vibes and really good service, highly recommend.

Obsessed with this place. The food is consistently amazing and the vibe is always on point. One of the best restaurants in Encino--highly recommend.

The drinks that are supposed to have some alcohol but nothing

We paid over $600 for drinks that had 0 alcohol in them. We ordered drinks and shots, none of us felt a buzz but we dismiss it thinking we'll feel it later. Next day we're all perfect as if not a single drop of alcohol was consumed.

Sorbet

Went in for dinner with 4 friends and had an amazing dinner. Flavors surpassed my expectations. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and entrees to share. Sashimi, King salmon rolls, tzatziki, cabbage skewers, mushrooms hummus, focaccia, cheese baklavas and the best of all, the fish cigars. My favorite. We also shared entrees: branzino, salmon skewers, bucatini cacio e Pepe, and mushroom gnocchi. All delicious. Gnocchi had too much salt for my taste. For dessert, we ordered the sorbet with fresh fruit. Very cute plate. Service was attentive and discreet. Beautiful restaurant. The music was definitely too loud for comfort and too clubby. Hard to carry a conversation with ease. They have valet parking. Will definitely go back.

Valet parking only yet there is ample street meter spots. Walked up and the greeter asked if I had a reservation (which I did not). Was kind enough to seat my party of two within 2 minutes. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Overall the food is good and the ambiance/ atmosphere is more upscale. The pricing seems okay for the items but portions are a bit on the smaller side. The Cesar salad and Salmon Schnitzel were the best things I had ordered.

Amazing food, and great service. Even though the restaurant was packed, our food came out on time and was delicious. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the lunch menu which gets you two courses, with plenty of options.

Good fresh food, if you're looking for a quick and under 20$ lunch don't come. Ordered the fried tilapia - loved it, side of cilantro lemon dressing, with garlic on the side, pour everything on the fish and enjoy a delicious whole fish. Ordered labneh plate which was warm bagels sliced in pieces to cut open spread the lebneh Great food, good service,

Great food, great service, and it's kosher too. All of the Tel Aviv spots are yummy. The portions are big enough to share.

We decided to come back with friends but on a Wednesday night at 6:30 instead. Sat at a table in the area where the music was but it was very loud and tightly packed with tables and guests. I could barely hear my friends due to the loud conversations, loud laughter, and just the acoustic affects in the restaurant were bad from that. We ordered steak, sides, and thought baked potatoes but got mashed instead. After we ate dinner we asked the manager if we could seat outside for dessert instead due to the loud noises around us. He brought us there but we had to wait at the bar outside till we were seated took an additional 15-20 minutes. After seated it was better than inside with a nice decor too instead. Dessert was ok service good. For such a high-ended restaurant and pricy food it's only avarage, inside decor pretty but very and tightly packed with guests and loud especially for a week day night kind of unusual, I was disappointed think it's a bit overrated sorry to say. I think Flemings, Ruth Chris, or Morton's are better food wise for the same price and dining experience and not as loud too. Think what could make it better is to thin out the crowded packed affect in the main inside dining area would help a lot too, or, if we ever go back sit outside instead I recommend. The service and staff there were very nice, friendly, and attentive and worked hard during service though. So overall raiting is a 3. Tuesday music night inside was good though think because the band is set up where tables of guests would be so less talking and guests listening to the music instead. Hope they make some changes to there inside seating there for improvements will and could help overall.

PARKING valet is available, but we found street parking on ventura blvd. FOOD 01. squash blossoms ($21 for 5 pc): 8.3/10 these were crispy and light, delightful to eat on their own without the tomato marinara sauce served on the side. casalena's squash blossoms had a strong, lovely hint of lemon that wasn't present in mother wolf's rendition. 02. chicken piccata ($29): 7.5/10 this main was served with a generous helping of potatoes mashed into a delicious velvet. 03. vodka lumaconi ($25): 9/10 this dish was the standout of the evening! the pasta shells were cooked al dente and coated in a slightly spicy, perfectly savory vodka sauce! casalena does not skimp on the sauce in any of their dishes! 04. tagliatelle ($29): 7/10 this pasta dish was not nearly as impressive. 05. tiramisu ($15): 7/10 since we mentioned the dinner was for a special occasion in our reservation, this dessert was served with a candle. while its presentation was lovely, its taste was underwhelming. the espresso was extremely subtle, and there was more madeline than mascarpone/cream. overall, our party of 4 was fully satiated after splitting 1 appetizer, 3 mains, and 1 dessert. service was lovely throughout! and as another yelpie mentioned in their review, their matchbook is very nice.

First, it's a great spot for a date night, a romantic atmosphere but without being too cheesy. The server was great and friendly, highlighting all the good food on the menu. The food was awesome, and their burger imo is top 3 burgers in LA, easy. - the flavors were loud and balanced and it came "medium" like I originally asked, which was a nice surprise. While the food was good, I was quite annoyed with 2 issues. First, our friend asked for a glass of pretty standard white wine, was told that she should try something else as that one was not available. When I got to pay the bill, the cost for 5 oz was about the cost of 2 bottles of what she normally buys at a wine store. Second, while the food prices are on the high side, I noticed a charge for use of a credit card. While this is not a big expense, it is extremely annoying and I resent being nickled and dimed. Restaurants deserve to make a fair return but I hate bait and switch and hidden ad-ons. While this won't break the bank, it is unacceptable to me, so I am lowering my rating to average, food 5 star, service ? - you decide.

Let's start off with location wise it's very centrally located in the valley so you can get to it fairly quick. Parking was not it's best. It is on Ventura Blvd so street parking is very difficult. They do have onsite parking in the back but there's only about 5 spots only and it seems like most of them are take either by staff or delivery vehicles. Now walking into this place you are def transported into a very lively Mexican culture that is undeniably amazing. I loved the decor and how you just feel at home. They are playing music the whole time loud enough for you to feel the vibes but still be able to have conversations. Now the food let me just say 10/10. I had the mole the presentation is amazing and the taste of it is even better. My fiancé had the aguachiles con mango which he says are also a 10/10. Finally my mother ordered the queso birria tacos which were pretty good as well. The margarita flight was def my favorite, I am not a big margarita fan as they tend to be a bit sweet for my liking but these were actually pretty well balanced and delicious.
