Healthy, tasty, and they need to open a location in OC haha. Why are the good restaurants so far away! I was exploring LA as my friend had a lengthy hair appointment in the area. Searching for something "clean" to break my fast, I came across this place. Located in a small strip mall, it wasn't hard to find. There was minimal parking but I was able to get the spot right in front. As soon as I walked in, I proceeded a little further past the kitchen viewing window to the host. I was greeted and seated at an available table. There was some music playing and just a few customers enjoying their meals. I've never had Israeli food before so I pulled the trigger on a few familiar (and unfamiliar) dishes. I ordered the TLV Single Breakfast, French Toast, and Hummus Plate w/ Pita. How was it all? - TLV Single Breakfast: This was interesting and overwhelming. Out came this circular tray loaded with their homemade tapas and dips, a side of two eggs, 2 slices of toast, a bagel, and an orange juice. It was unexpectedly a lot of food, but I enjoyed it all. Homemade is best! - French Toast: Made with challah bread, this was delicious. It was topped with some blueberries and strawberries. - Hummus Plate /w Pita: Who doesn't know and love this? I love their pita, it's fluffy and soft. I should have ordered like 10 more sides of pita to finish the hummus. Service was good, everyone is friendly here and gives the restaurant a family feel. We were introduced to this Fish Grill a while ago and found the food and ambience amazing. So when our family from Boston came to visit we had to bring them here. They were super impressed with the food. The service was top notch. Service with a smile everywhere we turn. We had the Branzino and the Sea Bream. When you order a fish dish you receive sides of salads/toppings on a lazy susan tray. The hummus is the best traditional hummus I have had. Every side has a different amazing flavor and is awesome on the bread. We ordered the Sea Bass with broccolini, green beans, and mashed potatoes. The fish was tender and perfectly buttered with a hint of lemon. The veggies on our plate were crunchy and cooked just right. Oh my was it all good! I love salads with arugula...simple ingredients that meshed well. Our server was attentive, kind and our dishes came out fresh, warm and all at the right timing!! I got the Tel Aviv breakfast, which came with eggs, toast, Greek salad and a slew of other little extras. All in all we had: Branzino, Schnitzel, eggs, hummus, Israeli salads, French Toast, Penne with butter sauce, pita (so fluffy and warm it makes me ache to think about them, lol), iced lattes, iced Matcha, dips, olives, an incredible yogurt with date syrup and nuts, fries, falafel, Limonana, and more and more. It goes on and on, so I will just post a few more pictures and let you take a look at the extensive gourmet menu. Have come here multiple times. The fish offerings on the menu are really quite good! Each fish dish comes with a huge, wonderful platter of israeli style pita, picked veggies, hummus, quinoa salad, and other goodies. It ends up being a lot of healthy food and everything is very tasty. No wonder this place is always busy!! I'm also partial to the Hamshuka, which is shakshuka and hummus and is enough food for at least 2 meals. Delicious!!! read more

Have you had a Tel Aviv breakfast? It is also called an Israeli breakfast and I visited the Tel Aviv Fish grill to savor this menu item (breakfast is served all day). The Tarzana location of the fish grill is the same as the original Tel Aviv grill, which then moved to a larger location in Encino. Both establishments are connected, with their menus having a different focus on Israeli food. This location has pleasant indoor and outdoor seating and specializes in fish dishes. I ordered the single Tel Aviv breakfast. It arrives with a mini wooden lazy susan having eight dips on the circumference and a cut up toasted slice of each of olive bread and wheat bread. The eight dips consist of dill cream cheese, cottage cheese, olive tamponade, tuna salad, smashed avocado, muesli with yoghurt and strawberries, strawberry jam and finally quinoa. You also get a good size bowl of Israeli salad, freshly squeezed orange juice (or another choice), eggs your way, and coffee or tea when you are done. More bread is available for the asking. This was an amazing dining experience. All the dips were well prepared and presented. The tastes were nicely contrast and provided various levels of texture, bite and satisfaction. The Israeli salad had great optics and tasted fresh and flavorful. The freshly squeezed orange juice was right on the money, not too sweet and so very refreshing. The cappuccino, at the end of the meal was the grand finale. The service at this restaurant was exceptional. Nicole kept checking on me numerous times, always making sure that the meal was progressing well and inquiring if I needed anything. Overall, all of the staff were very friendly, polite and professional. The manager, Valentina, was overseeing my table service, was courteous, smiling and willing to answer questions. She clearly deserves credit for being at the helm, and orchestrating an efficient team that provides an unforgettable memory of high-class Israeli gastronomic hospitality. read more

The wait staff were so nice and attentive. We ordered a Branzino, a TLV single breakfast with over easy eggs and an iced coffee and orange juice. Without exaggerating, every single thing I ate tasted good. I love being able to mix and match flavors, and that's exactly what the TLV breakfast allows for. Soooo good! If you like quality of food this is your place. Everything was delicious, and the coffee was great! I don't know if they make their own bread but the bread for the avocado toast was outstanding. It reminded me of German style bread which I am obsessed with. They also serve dips with the breakfast.
