Amazing service. Very nice guy. Super helpful! We called him 30 mins before he closed on a Saturday. He assured us he could smog our older Honda. Unlike the first 4 places we went to all over Bakersfield he did it. Then even though he was leaving late he still took the time to thoroughly go over the results. I want to say thank you to Pops Smog for taking care of me and my Honda. I needed to get my 1990 civic smog and that Saturday I had went to three different smog shops that said they could do it. Each one of them once I got there told me they couldn't even tho I called before hand. After being so frausted about lying smog shops it was so nice to come across an honest shop. Pops was about to close in 15 minutes and he still took my car in. Older vehicles take 45min to an hour so he could of said no. After he smog my car he still took the time to go over the results. Reviews of Pops came up, and I decided to give the shop a try since I needed to get my registration renewed and most reviews were so positive . There was almost no wait, and he greeted me and he told me he'd be with me in just a couple of minutes. It took no time at all and he was finished with my car. Pops is very nice and courteous and he made getting a smog check a pleasant experience. He provides a nice discount on his service, so the price is appropriate. I show up and a guy named sal greeted me and told me he could start on my car In about 15 minutes. He pulled my car in and knocked it out right away it felt like I was only waiting for 5 minutes. this companies owner his ok. but the lady cashier her name is claudia she is very mean, not understanding commercial drivers go through so much stressful situations. they towed my truck without any legitimate reason. my driver goes pays $1500 to release my loaded truck. i provided her with all my legitimate documents including my title of my equipment she kept on harassing us. what type of towing company would ask the owner to get the tractor-trailer registration notarized and get to their tow yard in person to prove her that my truck and trailer is in compliant with california. she wanted me to drive 300 miles to their tow yard knowing i am a heart patient who just had a open heart surgery. i told her my situation she still didn't listen too me. i had to call department of transportation to get my loaded equipment released. i guess claudia gets too lonely and bored in life, since she don't have her own life, so she just love to keep Harrassing her customers. I actually found this place on Yelp and after reading the reviews I wanted to check it out. I called just to see if they were busy and the owner answered and was extremely helpful immediately telling me to come right in. Upon arrival I was greeted outside by a very humble and friendly man who walked by through every step of my smog, as a woman I don't always feel comfortable in car shops.
