I do not know why I keep coming to this location, maybe it's out of convenience or that I'm hoping they'll get it together and provide better customer service. Sadly, after three different visits months apart, the service NEVER changes. Workers are rude and cut you off mid order. I kid you not, we were ordering, the lady cuts us off, "GIVE ME A SECOND" and shuts off her headset. Leaving us sitting there for 5 minutes just to finish our order. If you're going to start taking an order, finish taking it, or state before asking for the order, "just a moment." It seems as though, there's no training at this location. At other restaurants, they prompt you on your order to make it go smoothly, not here...you order and they say "ok," I know this isn't necessary but goodness me, please learn to take an order properly or get new people on drive thru. On top of that, they ask for your order, and then when you get to the window they have you REPEAT the order...WHATS THE POINT OF ORDERING AT THE SCREEN?! I want to recommend that they top up their syrups in their beverages. Got an orange Fanta this evening and it tastes like tonic water dyed orange, no orange flavouring at all! There's a lot to say about this place. It's my go-to Popeye's because it's close to me. I've gone many times. The food is typically pretty good but lacks consistency. There was a few visit-streak of the chicken being extremely salty, or extremely oily. We used to always get the bonafide chicken but I can't stomach it anymore because of how fatty and greasy it is. My favourite items are the tenders, ghost pepper wings, fries, coleslaw and usually both the mini delta chicken sandwich and regular chicken sandwich! Oh! And the poutine. It has a really unique tasting gravy. Very heavy though. The chicken in the items mentioned above are typically AMAZING!! Usually perfectly seasoned, juicy, not gross, and they hit the spot. With the poutine though it's usually a hit or miss with regards to the cheese. I've gotten poutines and the cheese won't even be partially melted. Prices are good for what you get in my opinion. In terms of service and atmosphere, this is where I knock off stars. They recently renovated this location and it does look a bit better, but the atmosphere and cleanliness hasn't improved much. It's usually busy and I've seen my fair share of disgruntled customers. In terms of staff, I haven't had any horrible experiences. They don't seem very organized or attentive though. It's a lot of youth working there which is great, but I think they need better systems. Service can be slow. It's not unusual to look for a seat only to find tables with grease, food crumbs, or spilled fries underneath. It's also not unusual to find fruit flies. Last time I went in one we sat at the first clean table we found only to realize it was broken and not stable to put our food on. Something to note is that if you go in, you can't hide the fact that you've been XD because you'll probably reek of the smell. It smells HEAVILY of grease. Something concerning that happened recently was during my last visit with my family. There was a lady yelling at the staff, absolutely livid, supposedly calling out the staff on picking up a food item off the floor and putting it back with the rest of the food. We're not sure if that actually went down or if someone was just having a rouuuuugh day...but I wouldn't be surprised if I saw it with my own eyes. Overall I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place, but if you need a good food kick it does the trick. read more

Its hard to say about kitchener Popeyes branch some days it's hit everything you buy is delicious but then there are days when you absolutely hate this place and vow not to enter this branch. I highly recommend this branch to stop selling the big breast chicken pieces that looks awful and fake . it seems the chicken were given growth hormones. These pieces are never cooked properly and are too salty and oily. It makes you throw up and have other digestive problems. Ordered 8 piece meal, 2L of iced tea, and three dipping sauces. Employee put the bag on the counter and took off to make a phone call. We noticed that she didn't include our 2L so we waited for her to come back. When she came back behind the counter she was talking to someone one the phone and completely ignoring us and two other customers. When we told her, she went to the rack of warm pop and grabbed orange soda, then put it on the counter and took off again. We waited a few minutes and then asked the employee working drive through to get us our iced tea. When we got home, we found that the dipping sauces we paid for were not included. Ordered online, they said it would be 45 min, then they updated that it would be 55 min, then it ended up being almost an hour and a half for cold fries and meh-warm chicken. Very disappointed. By far the best fried Chicken from a fast food restaurant. However they do miss out on the fast food concept. As with everyone else coments the service is painfully slow, even if your the only one in the store. i think the one star is way to much .Myself and my wife went there for lunch we ordered 2- 3 piece chicken tenders combo's (about $20) we waited about 10 -15 minutes to get the food (a little long when we were they only people in the place). We got our food and mine was the left over from earlier my wife was Ok so I took them back up and asked them to give me some that were hot she said Ok it will be 5 to 6 minutes i said Ok, well after I got the order back I started eating and the second and third piece was raw in the middle ,so we went and told them she said ohhhh sorry we said you can kill people with this way of cooking. i would never go back if they offered me the store..................think about going here read more

I have attended this location multiple times and the service has been the same, slow, chaotic , staff is confused and not efficient. They have a restaurant full of people waiting, orders coming in on skip and Uber, and drop small amounts of food and have people waiting 25 plus minutes...when thinking ahead could easily fix that problem. They do not communicate properly with each other to the point where I waited 25 minutes for my order that was not even visible for anyone to package (she didn't put my order up to be filled) then when I brought it to her attention (the one that took my order) she blamed everyone else instead of taking responsibility. I had to problem solve for her because she couldn't handle the task. I wouldn't be writing this review if this was the first time they were disorganized. Second time here in the past few weeks. The Tuesday special is the best, best deal chicken and price wise - Tonight (Sunday) we opted for a couple of bonafide meals at 7.99 each, with 'mild' chicken. This included 3 pcs of chicken, a biscuit and a side. One thing about Popeye's - the pieces of chicken are a real nice plump meaty size, unlike the small pieces you get from the Colonel. Anyway, the chicken was fresh, tasty, juicy and lots of it - We could not eat all 3 pcs each. We also had one mac and cheese side which was very nice, and the Cajun fries are pretty darn good too. Forget the coleslaw - it's the worst coleslaw on the planet. One has to eat with plastic utensils which is quite annoying, but the good taste makes up for that. The restaurant was nice and clean, no complaints. They lose one star because there was quite a wait getting the food, probably because they had to make fresh fries, or maybe it was the mac and cheese. read more

We pulled up to the drive thru and Ordered a 10 piece meal deal with medium fries and a medium gravy. When we went to pay we were charged an extra charge for gravy that we were told was included in the deal. Chicken was dry and the worst we have had at any KFC it seemed like a good idea at the time , and it's a mistake we will never make again. I knew it was going to questionable when the most senior staff working may have been 20 yrs old,I would have given it less then one star but that's the minimum we could put.
