In 2019, and 2020, very few things live up to the hype. The Popeye's chicken sandwich is one of the exceptions. I can definitely see what all the hype was about. I only started coming here a few months ago, and the place is always clean, staff is always friendly, and the food is always fresh. I've had the spicy chicken sandwich with every possible side order over that last few months and each one is delicious. I love the Cajun Rice, Red Beans and Rice, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, and even the fries are great. I've been to a few other Popeye's in the area and I did not have the same experience at those, which is why I keep coming back to this one near the Walmart in Eddystone. Was here the other day and a few times before I always try and give places more than one chance... So I go through the drive thru they tell there's a wait for Chicken tenders I said it's fine it's all my kids eat pull up to pay they asked me to park and they will bring me out the tenders when they are ready....20 minutes later I based the time off my receipt which is technically before they should have thrown the tenders in so they should been ready way before that when my food was ready man can I tell u about this woman that brought me my food not only did she throw the bag at me she was incredibly rude she didn't have a name tag on so there goes that one....time before this I went INside got regular chicken again had to wait! Are you not a friend chicken place why am I waiting 10-15 minutes for food when this stuff should be ready to go? If I wanted to wait for fried chicken I would just cook it at home by myself! Worst customer service I have ever received at any dining establishment. The man at the counter seemed as if it was an inconvenience placing the order. Then he only took half of the order so we are now forced to let the rest of the food get cold while the other food is being cooked. They do have really good chicken though. read more

This is the worst Popeyes in the country. I used to go once a week and it got to the point where the employees knew my order. I get the same thing every time and they still manage to screw it up. It's always dirty, food is always old and dried out. If I go an hour or two before they close they tell me there out of spicy chicken fingers because there lazy and don't want to cook anymore. Can't tell you how many times I've felt sick after I got done my meal. It got to the point where I was going to corporate with pictures of my receipt and pictures of the food I received. I only live a mile away but I'd rather go out of my way and go to the one on sproul rd. They always have fresh food and for the most part it's made to order. The customer service is horrible. I ordered fries and when I checked my bag. It was spilled all over the bottom and none of it was in the fries bag. It was as if somebody carelessly threw it in there. I told the employee about it and she was so rude! She gave my attitude, rolled her eyes, and raised her voice at me. English is not my first language, so my accent may be hard to understand. She ridiculed me for being hard to understand, even though she had a thick accent herself that was hard for me to understand. I've been to the Popeye's in Eddystone twice. The first time, I order chicken tenders at the drive through, got home with it, and realized the chicken was not cooked thoroughly; it was pink. So I had to heat it up till it was cooked through. I swore I'd never go back, but today, more than a year later, I did. Foolish me. I got the shrimp, my dining partner got the chicken tenders. The food was fine this time, but the service was horrible. We went through the drive-thru, and the guy running the drive through was so darn rude when I was ordering, then, when we got to the window, he continued to be rude. No greeting, not even a simple, "hi, how you doin'?" Nothing. When I asked for bbq sauce, he said, "I already gave you one! If you want another it's going to be .27 cents!" Yikes. Pardon the heck out of me! Slapped down over a tiny bbq sauce packet! I won't be back. They need some employees that at least make an attempt to be pleasant. read more

Every time I go to this location they are out of something. Whether it be fries, rolls for a sandwich or sometimes chicken itself. I would get it if it were closing time but this is 12 in the afternoon. And don't even get me started on the service. Try Zach's burgers down the road, much better. read more
