I drove from Washington rd to buy 2 boxes of 6 piece ghost pepper wings... 17 minutes.. n they tell me they don't have any at all n don't know when they will. Sad... false advertising . I love these wings n feel douped...

I just had some door dash to the hospital where I am Working. They delivered chicken that is straight up not edible and they forgot my biscuit. Absolutely horrendous never again. The people should be embarrassed to work there

Look at that juicy chicken sandwich, it was so freakin good!

Well we were going to the brewery next door and needed a snack to go with our beer and what a better combo then chicken and beer!(at least that's how we see it). So I ordered the 10 PC nuggets with sweet heat sauce. I must say the nuggets were fresh and hot and the sauce just set the meal off just right. Service was good there were only 2 people ahead of us. POS manager was very polite and friendly with us to make up for the cashier's non chalant mode. Will always come back for fresh food and great speed of service

    Fried Batter... no chicken.

The service is extremely slow and the $5.99 shrimp tackle box that they advertise on TV is not what you get at the drive thru.

Cashier argued with me about drive-thru orders taking precedence over done-in customers, when it was clearly visible that was the case.

The employees were friendly, the place was semi-clean, but the chicken was like rubber. First time I ever ate at Popeyes. Probably the last.

Parking was its usual Broad Street challenge, yet once inside there was plenty of space and an easygoing rhythm to the dining room. The only real hiccup was the slightly counterintuitive flow of things, since you order first and then find a seat, and I wasn't the only one who walked in and paused awkwardly until someone pointed out the process. I've said for a while that you should stick to what a place is named for, because ordering chicken wings at a pizza shop or a barbecue joint has burned me more than once, but tonight I ignored that rule and it turned out to be the right call. Mrs. K took down my side of fries with enthusiasm while I focused on the wings, meaty and generously sauced, the kind you finish without a second thought and then sit back with a local beer feeling like you made exactly the right choice. Every single one was worth it, no regrets at all, a small delight tucked inside a busy Augusta evening. I did see two of those massively stacked burgers get delivered to another table and while I was a little jealous, I know that having it without the bun wouldn't have honored it the way it should be. Maybe when I'm not on keto. [Review 228 of 2026 - 928 in Georgia - 25417 overall]

While in town for the weekend my husband and I wanted brunch somewhere unique to Augusta instead of another chain restaurant, and after scrolling Yelp and seeing all the glowing reviews we decided to give this Black owned, family operated spot a try. I noticed online that you can make a reservation for a $20 fee that gets deducted from your check. At first I was a little surprised, but after seeing how busy this place is, it makes total sense. We decided to roll the dice without a reservation anyway. When we arrived on a Saturday morning there were already several people waiting outside. There isn't really an indoor waiting area, so the hospitable hostess took my name and phone number and kindly asked us to wait outside. Later I noticed the sign explaining the process. She quoted us a 40-minute wait, but thankfully we were seated in about half that time. Inside, the restaurant is quaint and cozy with a classic diner feel complete with counter seating and booths. The ambiance is casual and welcoming. If you have a larger party, there are a couple of outdoor tables that appear to accommodate around six people, but personally I think this spot is best enjoyed with a smaller group. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and kept everything moving smoothly despite the busy brunch crowd. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles while I went with the Garden City breakfast bowl loaded with veggies and home fries plus a salmon croquette on the side. Every single thing tasted homemade and full of flavor. This is what Southern comfort food is supposed to taste like. My husband said the chicken was seasoned well and fried perfectly, and the waffle paired with it beautifully. My breakfast bowl reminded me of the kind of breakfast my grandma used to make, comforting, flavorful, and cooked with care. Portion sizes were just right,  enough to leave satisfied without feeling miserable afterward. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. Stellar customer service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. If I ever find myself back in Augusta, this will absolutely be one of my repeat stops.

It was with nostalgic anticipation that I pulled into the S. Augusta drive-through to place my order. Due to COVID-19 precautions, there wasn't a dine-in option; take out or drive through were my choices. It was a holiday weekend, so the demand was higher and the wait was longer than anticipated. We were told at the speaker to expect an additional 20 minute wait for chicken, but only one car abandoned the long queue. I took that as a sign of good things to come. The wait was far less than 20 minutes and the reward was most certainly worth it. The chicken was not only freshly cooked, but the rich, crispy, salty unctuous treasure of memory. Many of the local Church's Chicken restaurants have closed in the past few years. I couldn't tell you if it was from poor business management, franchisee collapse or competition. My goal will be to keep this one open.
