Working with used drink cans and bottles all day can't be much fun, but the staff at the Pooraka recycling depot are invariably cheerful, helpful and honest, too - an important factor for me as I know of other recyclers who chisel a few dollars off for themselfves where they can. I've gone as far as counting the containers I'm about to recycle, and these guys have passed the test. They give you a receipt, as well. read more

Specialties

Our recycling yard pays for deposit bottles & cans and we also pay for scrap metal such as copper, brass, aluminium etc. For your convenience, we sell bagged firewood, kindling, charcoal, eco logs, potting soil and we sell and swap bbq gas bottles. Our friendly staff are ready to serve you 7 days a week, 8:30am to 4:30pm, including most public holidays.

Took my bottles and cans in here this morning to get my refund. I thought it was very clean and tidy and staff were quite friendly. I didn't have to wait long to be served and was very happy with their count. I'll certainly be coming back. read more
