Stopped in Pomme de Pain to get a crepe or two, and was not disappointed! Located on Champs-Elysees, Pomme de Pain is your standard cafe that is surrounded around the slightly higher-end retail areas of Paris. Or put another way, its perfectly positioned for tourists and locals alike in capturing the tremendous foot traffic along one of Paris's busiest roads. Pomme de Pain serves standard sandwiches on baguettes & etc, yet it does have some afternoon/evening delights. Hence the need to stop in and pick up a crepe or two. Looking at how large these crepes are, I decided to purchase four altogether (two for me, two for her). I want to think that each crepe was three Euros. Pretty basic crepe that is served with Nutella, and presented in a thin cardboard to-go box + bag when not eating in the cafe. One thing to remember- you have to pay for the crepes first at the register! Seems to be a bit of confusion when you see a line next to the crepe counter (located at the front of the cafe), and a cash register behind the employee. This employee only makes crepes, and does not accept cash, FYI. read more

Another day, another crepe.... This time, it was at Pomme de Pain located on the Champs-Elysees. It's a pretty basic fast food cafe with sandwiches, pastries, and coffee. Think Panera. My crepe was made fresh to order and filled with nutella. It was a pretty good rainy day snack. read more

A cheaper stop on the Champ Elysses to rest weary feet. A mango passion fruit smoothie and a chocolate eclair cost more than I would like to admit. Nevertheless, it is much cheaper than the name brands you find browsing the menus of different cafes. This one just happened to offer slightly lower priced items and complimentary wifi. We sat upstairs, used their restrooms and wifi, and chilled while sipping on smoothies and trying to ration the tiny eclair. Next time, we may choose a less "chain" store to sit at and enjoy our afternoon snack. read more

We got a sugar crepe and they make it in front of you, but, they couldn't get it right. The thing tastes too doughy and the first time they poured too much sugar on it. The second time it was still soggy. They need to redo their batter and train back here guys better. read more

But all of us, occasionally, just need a quick bite instead of a 2-hour meal demanded by custom in France :-) I ducked in here one night before catching a movie at UGC George V and got a nice combo of wide cut frites, a curry chicken sandwich, and some orange juice. It's a quick service food restaurant that offers an array of cold & hot sandwiches, and depending on the combo you order, you're able to get dessert + a soda for relatively decent price. All sandwiches come on a baguette and are made to order. Service is what you get at a typical fast food joint, but it is quick! Food is cheap but avoid this place if you want anything good. We ordered 3 sandwiches and a salad and were by everything. The sandwiches are bland and lack any flavor from the contents inside the bread. They're super skimpy with their meat. The ham and cheese sandwich had one thing slice of ham between the thick baguette and one thin slice of cheese. Overall, the meal was lackluster and I wish we spent our money somewhere else! read more

Give me Pomme over Quick any day! Orange juice that's fresh-squeezed? Gotta love seeing them get smashed for my nutritious amusement. Speedy crepes to go? Absolutely. This is the Parisian equivalent of ABP (Au Bon Pain) or Panera, a quick takeout and casual fast food joint. The sandwiches are not bad, but not particularly memorable. read more

My wife and I stopped in for a quick bite, and was pleasantly suprised with the smoked salmon baguette sandwich we got. It was a simple baguette sandwich, but had garlic herb butter on the smoked salmon, and was pretty good for French fast food. We're definitely fans and will be going back if we get a chance. read more

After all, it is a chain and you can't expect their food to be that fantastic. But if you want to grab a quick bite, you can get a baguette sandwich here for as little as 4 euros. My go-to sandwich has always been jambon and fromage. Simple and satisfying. But this time, I decided to go with the grilled chicken option and yeah, it wasn't great. The sandwich was cold and didn't have much flavor to it. I wish they toasted the baguette. It's also a mad house in here since it's located on Champ Elysee. Expect lots of tourists. read more

Stopped by for a mid day snack and tried the steak and cordon Blu. The menu has a decent variety of choices and the waitress helped us as our French isn't the best! Everything was served hot and fresh. There is a decent sized outdoor patio on the opposite side of the side walk where you can eat your lunch after passing through the busy crowds. BEWARE the pigeons walking around waiting for you to drop any food. They are well fed! read more

Just along Champ d'Élysées lies a cute cafe that serves hot and cold sandwiches. They offer different set menus. You could have them with a drink and dessert/appetizer of your choosing. If you want a cold sandwich just grab it from the fridge, otherwise they can make hot sandwiches. Make sure you know what you want to order first as there may be some communication errors in between languages. There's also the option of sitting between inside and outside. Stopped in for a light dinner. This establishment has 3 levels. The 2nd floor is ground level and where you do your ordering at the counter. The 1st and 3rd level is primarily only seating. Ordered their roasted vegetable salad and a crepe. Their salad is pre-made so my food was promptly ready. The crepe has to be ordered at the counter, then brought over to another counter to have it prepared. The salad was decent, not very fresh and came with a tiny corner of a very stale baguette. Very disappointing. The crepe was good and fresh. But their options were limited in terms of flavors and toppings. The crepes are better outside from the vendors. The prices here are good and very reasonable. Service was good. Bathrooms need a serious clean. read more

I stopped in here with my wife and 3 small children after a long day of sightseeing for some ice cream. I was amazed how hard it was to find an ice cream shop on the Champs-Élysées, but luckily we found Pomme de Pain. It's just a regular Parisian "fast food" joint with sandwiches and such. What made we impressed was their kindness and service. Shortly after we got our ice creams my daughters scoop fell off her cone and onto the sidewalk. When I went back in they didn't hesitate to just pop another scoop onto her cone. Definitely stop in here for some ice cream if your in the area. read more

Nice place for a quick and fresh meal. Outdoor seating as well as indoor upstairs. Free WiFi and hot sandwiches on fresh, crusty baguettes.

Came here to kill time and we ordered a flan. We originally wanted a crepe but they ran out for the day. Their version of the flan is very different than the states. Theirs is more like an egg custard and much stiffer than ours which is more runny. It was also a little frozen because the display case worked so well. It was good nonetheless. I definitely want to try some other desserts from this place. I would recommend coming here again despite the 3 stars. Staff was friendly and did not speak English. They do accept credit cards. read more
