I've been taking lessons with Rochelle for several months, first in a group setting and then one on one. Each lesson we paint a picture or in a style that I selected ahead of time, and each time I learn something that I carry with me through my other painting. I am definitely a beginner, still trying to figure out how wet my paper and brush should be, what is "damp," or what it means to "lift color." In addition to learning how to paint, I've gained a lot more confidence in my ability to put paint on paper. read more
