I paid $1250 to Susan Salter shook in approximately 2022 during a disability review period for my…read moreown social security disabilty benefits which I had been receiving since I first filed ~1st time approval! Using the law services of the late Frank Smith also of Vidalia Ga I was not sure what the review would entail but as star assured me we would address any questions or issues during the review and win my case as social security had decided I had improved and could return to work, Which I have but only part time. Unfortunately Frank passed away mid- case and I had to acquire another lawyer quickly to get the paperwork in on time and so it had to be Susan she assured me that with my case I would be fine. However the disablity review team sent some letters addressing my case and even though Susan and her team received them too she did not even address any of the concerns about my disability at the hearing and allowed the judge to make a prejudiced ruling against my mental health condition of Bipolar 1 which is a lifelong condition and so I was not able to proceed with receiving my income and health care benefits which has greatly damaged my personal credit and mental and physical well- being since losing my benefits and check in 2023. Susan showed no concern nor interest in continuing to appeal as she had already fumbled two of them so she left me in the lurch at the last step of appeals because I still "owed" her 250 bucks. You tell me why I would finish paying my "bill" for her admittedly employing incompetent paralegal CJ to handle my case! Fat chance! I was not impressed at all with her or her team but it gets worse... it was obvious she Susan had a hard time securing an adept and competent paralegal to handle my case or anyone else' cuz they had fired CJ and were on the third girl in this position since she took my money!!! This Cj's lack of work and Susans lack of supervision and preparedness to meet with the judge was admitted by her own secretary who told me the girl on my case didn't do her job and stayed on the phone all day with grandkids as well as her new replacement paralegal who told me if she had been there I'd have won my case! I was appallied that not only did shook fail to Apologize for mishandling my case as was apparent by her total nonchalance and unpreparedness for the hearing (or for my refund request which she should have infuriated), she also failed collossally to represent me with any professionality or accountability for her position at a time I needed her the most! As a disabled citizen who is struggling these days to make ends meet I feel that a big fancy lawyer who admittedly did not do her job should give me a full and total refund no problem! After all it's only a measly $1250!!! But she's too stingy and doesn't give a damn about her clients I highly suggest anyone considering this flake as an attorney consider she likely earned her degree on her back as she doesn't have the common sense nor courtesy you would find in her two dogs who also Inhabit her joke of a business... and I do need a refund to get a new lawyer but haven't found her to be so accommodating so I leave my review and hope it will keep her from stealing anymore "fees" from the trusting general public. She is a joke- she has no integrity or morals and I do not have any respect for her whatsoever money hungry bitch
