Even as a tourist and with a bad reason (somebody damaged our car and went away without notice) I felt very welcome at the police station in Jönköping. English was no problem as well for the nice officer who talked to us. The only fun fact - but this seems to be typical for Sweden - you have to pull a number and get served when it is your turn.
