A beautiful location on the banks of the Arno River. This international institute for fashion design and marketing is owned by the Ferragamo family. It sits right next to the American embassy and has lovely architecture. A woman I met suggested I take a peek since I was interested in learning about fashion here in Firenze. There are two buildings in the Villa. The one with the information and administrative offices has gorgeous murals and decorative walls; even a hall of mirrors! Incredible tiny green park and a terrace space for the students to relax in. This is certainly an inspiring place to be exposed to fashion design. An international student body makes for varied perspective on designing fashion. Got some information to share with others back home. Nice to have seen the interior with the ornate classrooms and beautiful setting. read more

The quality of education is poor. I would come to class and wait for the teacher and he would not show up. I would not receive an email about class cancelled. The teachers are late to classes. It is not professional. I paid full price for tuition and I felt that the money was taken but after that there is no effort from teachers to give knowledge or desire of teachers for students to succeed in the future. The quality of food in cafe is poor. There is no cafeteria to eat which is important for students but a small shop with 4 tables outside. The around Villa Favard area is filthy and not clean. There are a lot of homosexual teachers and students in the school. Homosexual students openly talk in front of everybody about their sexual activities which I would rather not listen to. I went there for one year and I am not going back. read more
