We have been here many times and my wife enjoys the stuff cabbage which is still very good. Today I…read moreordered my usual kielbasa and sauerkraut both as to go orders. There was way too much sauerkraut and very little small slivers of kielbasa that looked old, tasted bland and totally destroyed my ever wanting to order it again. To think we drive all the way from Livonia for Naught. What a shame.

Polish Market continues to be my go to market for Polish sausage in Metror Detroit. I have tied most if not all of the other well known named Polish centric markets in metro Detroit but for my money this Market makes the best sausage. Their large selection of tasty sausage with fair pricing is second to none. In particular, I consider their cherry wood sausage to be exceptional where this is my go to wood species when I do my own smoking which I do on a weekly basis. It adds such a good and unique flavor to meat that I am surprised that more smoked meat centric businesses in the area dont do it. Sausage aside, I like to buy their Polish cookies/treats from Polish Market for my 90 something year old in laws who are immigrants from Poland where they get a huge kick out of these baked goods that remind them of their heritage and original homeland. It lights up their eyes when I say I bought Polish cookies for them. Sometimes the simplest things are the best things in life! (:

Came in one day looking for some baby lemons. They didn't have lemons, but they did have limes…read more That didn't help. But I did grab the cutest baby bananas I have ever saw in my life!! I also grabbed a 4 pack of garlic naan bread from the freezer section. The bananas were delicious and my kids requested them many times after. The garlic naan is perfect fried in a pan with a little butter. Can't say that I would buy much more than these 2 items from this store, as I wasn't familiar with anything else. It's a tiny store, and the older man watching tv, who rang me up was quiet but polite. I'll return for naan and baby bananas.

I added it along with this review). The small store was empty except for a man I'm assuming was the owner. He greeted me with a smile and was friendly but not overly chatty. He directed me to where I could find the Paneer cheese, which I bought two of, so I can make another batch of delicious Mutter Paneer (I highly recommend this recipe: http://www.tarladalal.com/Mutter-Paneer-Butter-Masala-4322r). The other two items I purchased that I highly recommend are the frozen Garlic Naan bread and the frozen Channa Dal mini Samosas - both by the Deep Indian Gourmet brand. The man in the store recommended I deep fry the samosas but I baked them since I didn't feel like busting out the deep fryer and they were very yummy! Full of flavor and spice. The store had lots of spices, unique fresh produce (that actually looked fresh), several frozen items like Naan bread, samosas, etc. He even had homemade samosas for sale at the register for 0.79 a piece. They were pretty good but a tad bit bland, good amount of spice though. If you live in the Macomb Township area like me then I believe this is the closest Indian grocery store, but regardless of that it's a nice little store and I will be sure to return!
