I've been here 4 times and every time they add something new. I'm actually surprised I haven't reviewed this place yet. Their poke bowls are top notch & the freshest tasting fish you can get. You choose from a base of a bowl with rice, chips, salad, half and half, or you can now opt out into getting a wrap - sushi burrito style. A small gets you 2 scoops of fish, medium is 3, and a large is 5 heaping scoops. Trust me when I say a large will fill you up. You can choose from albacore, tuna, yellowtail, octopus, and scallops. Although there can be a variety of fish based on the day you come in. This last time, I tried the new wrap. I was pretty relieved to see how different their approach was to the famous sushi burrito style roll they were going for. Instead of a sheet of seaweed, they use rice paper and feed it into a machine that evenly distributes rice. From there, you can choose a small, medium, or large size (how many scoops you want). Biting into the wrap was a little unorthodox and quite messy. It didn't hold as well as a normal sushi burrito with seaweed would and the amounts of sauces they drenched the wrap in really compromised the fun experience of enjoying a giant sushi roll. In essence, the whole thing fell apart. But alas, it all goes down the same place, right? 4 stars! read more

Over the years this place has been getting worse, I don't know if is under new management but I was there today and not only did they not have spicy tuna, dynamite sauce and spicy miso. When you're having a bowl, you get to pick between white rice & brown rice and choose 3 servings of fish if you're ordering medium and 5 servings of fish for large. +you can also add extra toppings like avocado, cucumber, imitation crab, onion, tobiko, ginger, and wasabi. +there are several seafood available, which are tuna, salmon, yellowtail, albacore, scallop, shrimp, and octopus. +I'm glad pokinometry offers spicy sauce for those who love some kick to their food. -Pokinometry doesn't have designated parking lot so you have to resort to street parking or at nearby parking structure. My boyfriend and i didn't want to go through the hassle of looking for street parking so we parked at the parking structure . The rate is $2 for 20 minutes, which isn't too bad since it's quick eat anyway. -limited seating is available but considering how this place is popular, there's pretty much no seats available at any time of the day. You can find a lot of customers resorting to benches outside pokinometry. My bf and I ate in the car instead since it was feeding outside. -one cashier and she only dealt with credit cards or debit cards. The medium (3 fish) was really filling, which makes me happy because I definitely felt that the portions were generous. I loved all the toppings! I waited about 10 minutes in line to order. One thing I don't like is that you can't get a half/half order or a salad as a small, they make you get a medium or a large. They don't have as many sauce options as many other poke places either. Overall, I thought the whole ordering process was very rushed and the workers barely looked up at you, literally they just asked me what I wanted and then pushed my tray on to the next person. Finding a spot to sit for a party bigger than 3 is pretty tricky. Most of their tables are for parties of two and they have bar stools for the rest. I asked for mild sauce, but for some reason I thought it was spicier than mild, I didn't mind but if you can't handle that much spice might as well get the no spice sauce. I'm not sure if they started the poke bowl craze, but I do remember seeing them on my drive from Disneyland to the Orangefair shopping center pretty early on and thinking how cute the store name was! My first visit was on a Sunday evening, so lines were managable and seats were available (though still at 85% capacity!). You order a la Chipotle style, with selecting a bowl size (that determines how many scoops of fish you get), a base, round one of seasoning/toppings, the fish (or octopus or shrimp or scallop), the sauce, and round two of seasonings/toppings. They also offer AYCE miso soup for $1.50. I ordered a medium bowl for $8.75, which covers 3 scoops of fish (of which you can pick and choose too). So my bowl ended up looking like this: brown rice and salad base - round one layer of crabmeat, cucumbers and avocado - scoops of spicy tuna, albacore and salmon - medium sauce - round two of all toppings except ginger. It was colorful and thoroughly satisfying. Plenty of fish too! Only downside was that there was a lot of sauce on my poke, which overpowered the fish, and the fish quality could've been better. However, comparing this to PokeStuf in Alhambra, I enjoyed PokiNometry better. Good luck with finding street parking! If the limited spots right outside PokiNometry are all taken, drive a little further in on W Center Street Promenade. At PokiNometry, you choose your size bowl, your salad base (white or brown rice, salad greens, chips, or even a wrap), choose your fish, and what kind of toppings you'd like (avocado, cucumber, onions, masago, sea weed). Fast and simple! The staff was very friendly during our visit. My boyfriend was trying to choose between sauces, and they let him taste the different options. I suggest getting the sauce on the side because the staff is GENEROUS, and my bowl was drowned in sauce (I prefer a lighter touch of seasoning when eating raw fish). Grab a top if you can't finish your bowl, and take it home to go. A meal is very affordable, between $7-10 depending on what you get. The restaurant was clean and their staff gives generous portions. It gets busy, so even though there's a lot of seating, it gets full quickly. I went in the late evening, and the store was still full of customers. PokiNometry is the mathematical practice of how much poke I can calculate shoveling down. Kidding. Getting here is a bit of a drag, let me get that out of the way first. The parking situation here is atrocious, by no fault of the store or anyone else. Just anticipate to circle around or walk a tad because PokiNometry is in quite a peculiar plaza. But on to the poke! In Chipotle fashion, you start at the line by choosing your base - be it rice, chips, salad, etc., and then you move on down to the types of fish you want, veggies and toppings, and then however you want to sauce your creation. The price to quality ratio in my humble opinion is pretty spectacular. The fish displayed is vibrant in color and absolutely tasty in my stomach. I'd say it's a top contender for one of the best poke places in the OC that I frequent. read more

I've been wanting to try this place out for a couple of weeks now and finally got to go last night. This place totally lived up to the hype! The food taste as good as the photos look. My group of four arrived at 6:45pm and there was no line though seating was limited. I had the poke salad it it was VERY good. My salad came with mixed greens, imitation crab, avocado, and three scoops of fish (salmon, tuna and yellow tail). The sauce that the fish is mixed in is so good that I barely used my salad dressing; though that was very good as well (ginger based salad dressing). I dropped by on a weekday evening and could not find any parking on the streets. I drove around and finally found free parking on a residential neighborhood. This place is popular! When I finally got inside, I had to get into a huge line. The wait was 15-20 minutes. When it was my turn I chose a large nachos with salmon and octopus and loaded it up with all the free stuff i.e. avocados, crab meat and onion. I do not recommend the chips! The whole thing was way too salty. Next time, I'll just get rice. The flavors, sauces and the ability to customize is what makes this place stand out. However the long wait and crappy parking sucks. You can mix and match your scoops of these seafood selections. We got the large rice bowl with 3 scoops of tuna and two scoops of salmon. At the end, you get to choose your sauce such as spicy, non-spicy, etc. Our large rice bowl was around $10. Came here on Saturday around 1:30 and the line was out the door! It took about half an hour to get through the line and to pay for my food. You go through each station and tell them what you want for your base, protein, toppings, etc. I always get a medium bowl (3 scoops of fish, ~$8.75) with brown rice, 2 scoops of salmon and 1 scoop of spicy tuna and it's more than enough food for me. I always get spicy mayo for my fish and ask for dynamite sauce on the side (it's pretty spicy, watch out!) Ordering is simple and efficient and I love being able to customize my bowl. The fish is always fresh and the portions are good and it won't break the bank! There was no where else I knew in California to get poke and I had been dreaming of it since I left Hawaii. Do not expect to get traditional Hawaiian poke from here. Just don't. This place was one of the first BYO poke places when the poke craze started in California. You customize your own poke bowl. You choose your base (brown/white rice, salad, chips or a combo of any of the two). You then choose your own fish and how you want it seasoned. Then you add the toppings you wish. You may be asking, why is she giving this place 4 stars if she's saying that isn't nothing like Hawaiian poke? Although this place is a far cry from traditional poke, it's still pretty good for what it is. The personalization is the best part. You add what you want and get exactly what you want! My go to order? Small bowl, brown rice, cucumber and onion, salmon seasoned with spicy dynamite, 1 scoop each of crab meat (artificial) and avocado, and topped with seaweed, sesame seeds and crispy fried garlic. Even though my Hawaiian poke cravings are not completely fulfilled by Pokinometry, it's still a great spin on poke. Since Pokinometry's opening, there have been other similar places but this place has been consistent throughout the years in the qualify of their food. I finally got the chance to try PokiNometry and it is everything a poke fanatic would love. The place has plenty of pokihype and they delivered. Fish is fresh and the toppings/sauce are on point. Everything is mixed into a bowl of deliciousness. I got a medium ($9.50) which comes with three scoops of fish. A large ($11.95) includes five scoops of fish. The prices are relatively cheaper than other poke places. Don't let the bowl sizes deceive you, I thought the medium-sized bowl looked a bit small, but it was surprisingly very filling. They have three sauces: Original, Spicy Mayo, and Spicy Miso. You can also try the Dynamic sauce, their spiciest sauce. My friends from the East coast had a very satisfying first poke bowl, they loved it. My NorthCal friend thought it was the best Poke place he's been to. Only one person was not satisfied (she doesn't like raw fish!) Instead, she was into the miso soup and barely touched her poke bowl. Wow! It's like a fast food fresh sushi type of joint. I've been wanting to try this place and I do not regret it one bit. The process of ordering is similar to a chipotle. You pick your rice, chips, salad, or wrap, then you pick your veggie, and then your fish. They top it off with green onions, masago, ginger, and wasabi of whatever you choose. As a snack, my bf and I shared the chips, with onion, cucumber, imitation crab, spicy tuna, salmon, and yellowtail medium spice. So fresh and delicious, except the yellowtail was a bit fishy. It's difficult to find seating during dinner because the place is pretty popular. Been here twice in the last week and have a feeling it's going to become a regular place for me when craving fresh sushi-quality fish! I honestly think the place is genius --- pick your fish, pick your sides to go with the fish in the bowl, pick your sauce and pick your toppings. What else would you want? Truthfully, the other thing I like is no matter what combination you come up with the components are all made to go together. At some places where you make your own 'whatever' they bombard you with so many options but they don't always go together and it doesn't always come out tasting good. The only downside is the parking can be crowded -- although if you don't' mind walking a bit there is public parking over at the garages on the other side of the ice rink. There can also be long lines at times but it does move pretty well as the conveyor belt type prep helps to move things along. All in all it's a pretty great place.. tasty food, value is good, and the service is friendly. One caveat about the sizing -- don't order the large unless you are very hungry. The bowls are a little deceiving cuz they looks small but the toppings get piled pretty high and end it ends up being a good amount of food. ;) read more

A make-your-own-poki?! Dude this place is awesome! This is at a corner - so you can't really miss it. I parked across the street in the small residential area. Essentially this the poki bowl version of chipotle and what they offer in terms of selection is posted on their wall. The prices range from $7, $8.75 and $10.75 for small, medium and large respectively. I wasn't super hungry so I shared a large with 2 of my friends and ordered a rice base with everything (toppings) with Salmon, tuna, shrimp, octopus, scallop (you can choose up to 5 meats here!!!), Mild with spicy mayo on the side topped with Seaweed (see picture below). The flavors were so rich and whatever sauce they put for the mild is so bomb! The seafoods were very soft and yummy. The reason why I would give it 4 stars is that I feel like they could give more seafood for the price because you are paying a lot, but I mean it's a very unique and clever restaurant idea! In the bowl, there's crab meat, onions, (i don't get avocado but this is free), masago, green onions, and ginger on the side, mild sauce. I was never really a fan of poke until I tried this place. Not only do they give you plenty of options, the food is amazing!! The combination of the crab meat with the salmon and octopus just put it over the top. I don't know what's in their mild sauce but it just puts the entire bowl together. I didn't even like ginger before this place, but something about the ginger just adds that extra umph to your bowl. Even when there's a long line, the workers work extremely fast to get you in and out. There are so many different choices of fish to choose from, i don't think you can go wrong. I've tried other poke places and this place still ranks #1 on my list. I keep coming back because the food is always good and the service is top notch. Parking can be a little difficult, but it's worth getting some of this goodness. Even if you park in the structure, they'll give you a 2hour validation card. read more

Free avocado. That's the first thing you should know about this place since there's this unusual luxury that avocado is associated with. Pokinometry is very chipotle-esque where you customize your poke bowl to your liking, at least much more than other poke places I've been to. In regards to line, I think I got lucky when I went cause right after I got in line, ordered, and paid for my meal in a record 1 minute, there was a surge of some 30-40 people right behind me. So I'm assuming pokinometry tends to have a longer line? The food is pretty decent, fish is decent too but it's not the freshest thing ever. Definitely affordable compared to other places but quality is nothing to be amazed by. The portions are fairly decent for the price you pay though! read more

I agree with some comments about portion size, it did seem much fewer. I also want to point that this place is long over due for a general cleaning. I have more options to go to for poke nowadays and seems to have more and better options, and cleaner. Lots of options for base and fish. It wasn't too crazy busy on a Saturday afternoon shockingly. Where in the world is the parking for this place? I parked on the street and walked over. Was looking for some poke before hitting up Disneyland and this place was high rated. Glad we came here. First, parking for us was sort of a pain cause it's right next to the Anaheim ice complex and if there's something going on there, you might be circling a while for parking as we did. Other than that, great experience. Tons of options and great prices! I got a medium with brown rice and chips. Never had chips before but the server said it was pretty popular. They're basically large wonton chips which go really well with the poke flavors. Their spicy tuna wasn't too soggy and the yellowtail and salmon were fresh as well. Their dynamite sauce and spicy mayo sauce blended everything well. Overall, great experience. If we're craving poke again in the Disneyland area, we know where to go! read more

The owners need to re-train staff on food preparation. My last two visits were met with fish that was too cold, the cuts of fish were thawed but were not at the right temperature to allow the texture to be soft and pleasant to the palate. Very dissatisfied with my experience. I ordered a small poke bowl and asked for half brown rice and salad. They said they only serve it in medium. I've never had that happen at a poke place but I said okay, I'll have a small salad. Then they said they only allow salads in a medium size. So I had no choice but to order brown rice in a small! I've definitely never experienced not given a choice of my option for the base of the poke bowl. Anyway, I got to check out and I never signed anything and was never offered a recipe. Is that legal? Came here as a recommendation from someone who loves poki, and i'm glad I listened. Located on corner of the street which made it very easy to find. As you walks inside the ambience is simple but loaded with cool art work from the owner. The poki selections are plentiful with fresh fish and ingredients. For those who like spicy or no spice there's an option for all with their unique sauces. The overall service, flavors and taste of the poki was phenomenal. Will definitely be back! read more
