Large bowl, white rice, mixed greens, tofu, edamame, onions, sesame ginger dressing, carrots, green onions, garlic and onion crunch topping.

This is one of the healthiest places to eat in town. Whenever I get a bowl from here i feel like I'm taking good care of myself because of how high quality the ingredients are. It's also incredibly delicious. This time I got a vegan bowl with tofu and sesame ginger dressing. I enjoyed every bite. One great thing about this place is how many ways you can customize your bowl. They have a plethora of different ingredients, from proteins to sauces to veggies, the possibilities are nearly endless. Instead of a bowl, you can also make a salad or a wrap. I mostly come here for the bowls, but they also have miso soup, bubble tea and other side dishes. Definitely give this place a try if you like Hawaiian/Japanese food.

This Pokemoto location recently had its original owners take over again, and they've done some nice remodeling inside! I really love that they teamed up with Loose Leaf Boba at this location like the Wallingford one. Great food, all fresh and flavorful, and the drinks were amazing as always. Loose leaf has my favorite boba tea ever!

Had Pokemoto for lunch. Place was clean, and was acknowledged and served very quickly. Very generous with portions. First time having Loose Leaf side since they've renovated. I like how customizable the Loose Leaf menu is. Ordered the Purple Root (Oat milk w Half Sweetness) with Lychee Jelly. Texture, sweetness, and flavor were very good.

Let me say customer service is everything when I go to an establishment so that first start with on the sign on the door free bubble tea with a purchase of a Poké bowl. I entered the establishment on, Friday, March 15, 2024 around 325pm I think she maybe was the manager, an older employee than the other 2 employees . She welcomed me the way she should when you first arrived that was great. Once I got to the counter I said you know I haven't been here in a long time she says that she your time . But once once she started serving me, it felt like she was very monotone not as friendly as before a little rushy. What proteins then plopped it in the bowl as she when along with the topping etc. I was played right along it was very clean. There were a mom and I guess her kids with her eating and the young girl who took care made their teas.. I paid and she never said no once what type they of her eating would you like, So I asked her what's the deal promo with a free tea so I asked her what was the deal she definitely seemed annoyed and would have let me walked on right out with offering me the tea promo. She started rattling off why that the tea promos were in both sides m. I literally asked her to repeat it like three times and I do hear very well she wasn't interested in letting me know at that point I felt like she wanted to move on and didn't wanna be bothered. They were plastic bags hanging so I don't know if those bags were for Instacart only she hasn't wanted the paper you know a bag she gave me a brown bag, but I asked if she had a plastic bag which I saw and she said I know we don't have any so she was a little rough with her customer service. I won't take it personal, but her attitude needs to re-evaluated because she would not like to be treated that way in an establishment and the way she treat her customers. So that being said, I actually took it home, the food was good the white rice could be less clumpy and hard, I still enjoyed it. I love the poke bowls and her attitude would've given this place a better rating Tge overall experience would be a 1 star but the food was fresh so that's why it's a three star. , I hope the next time I go there she'll have a better attitude and all the employees to be more friendly YOU ARE THE FACE OF THE BUSINESS because WITHOUT US THERE'S NI YOU!!

Dole Whip - pineapple and strawberry swirl
Ryan B.

We treated ourselves to two build-your-own sushi rice and shrimp based bowls last night (to-go). Just for checking in using the YELP app we alsowere treated to a complimentary bowl of Dole Whip (Pineapple and Strawberry flavored swirl). I have to say that for a 'freebie' the Dole Whip portion was quite generous, and delicious! All said and done the cost was ~$25; if you consider the fact that this is a healthy alternative to a number of local quick-service competitors, it's a nice treat every once in a while. In my experience, be sure to try and eat the dish all in one sitting, especially with the rice bowls because the day-after experience just isn't the same! I won't delve into the specifics of recommended toppings because that is such a personal choice depending on the individual palate, but the mandarin orange, pickled daikon, and masago are just a few of the toppings that really make these dishes unique.

one regular and two large poke bowls

Came here for dinner around 7:45 pm and decided to get a regular size poke bowl with a brown rice base. With a regular size bowl you can pick two proteins, meanwhile the large size you get three picks. I got tuna and salmon in mine but there was also tofu, shrimp, and chicken (they were out of this) available. You can then get unlimited toppings and crunch which I took full advantage of and the staff was so generous when building my bowl! It may be because they were closing soon (at 9 pm), and they were already out of some toppings, like both types of seaweed. Regardless, I got SO much food that I had to ask for a SECOND bowl just so that I could mix everything together. Technically, I count that as a two for one deal. Also, the best part is that my bowl was free! You have to text "hamden" to a particular number or scan a QR code and you get a regular bowl for free. Staff overall was friendly, the tables were clean and consistently wiped down, and my food was super tasty. I'm very satisfied with my visit and will definitely eat at other locations!

The interior look pretty nice. Staff was welcoming and helpful since it was my first time here . She helped me pick the Hawaiian poke Bowl and walk me through the line of items to toss in. It's a fair price for fresh ingredients. It tasted nice. I had no complains . Will be back

They nailed it out of the park. Outstanding. I heard a lot of good things about this place past few months. I can't even begin to explain how delicious the bowl was. So many flavors going on complimenting each other. Nothing overbearing. Fantastic. Had the tuna & salmon bowl. Again, outstanding. Great place. Girl at the counter was extremely helpful explaining a lot of it to me since it was my first adventure here. Thanks again. Great meal. Keep it up. Job well done.

Wow. Super, super impressed with this place. The food is so fresh, and the quality top notch. I had the rice bowl with chicken and the chojang sauce - phenomenal! Perfect level of spicy and not too salty. The sushi rice actually tastes like sushi rice, and has the tang from the rice wine vinegar! Overall, my husband and I really loved our meal. The price is a little expensive, but totally worth it. Portion is quite large too. Highly recommend this place. Update: THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Bring your friends. Bring your mom. Bring your grandma. I go here at least once a week. It's definitely becoming more popular, because the line has been super long lately. Try the dole whip. You won't regret it. This place is worth every single penny.

Amazing. You can't go wrong!

Fast, healthy, delicious, and did I mention HEALTHY??? This being only 5 minutes from my house has been dangerous for my bank account. This is how you win - Create your own bowl, fill it with tuna and salmon and lots of toppings, and toss it all in a combo of the Pokémoto sauce and garlic chili oil. I've tried almost every sauce and they're all awesome, but this combo is my favorite! Don't forget the seaweed salad, masago, and plenty of crunch. These are the ingredients that'll put it all over the top. The first time I came, my boyfriend wasn't in the mood for raw fish but I convinced him to get a burrito anyway, and he was obsessed. Now he goes almost every week. It's that good. Only word of advice I have is I probably wouldn't pay the extra for the avocado. The meal itself is already pretty pricey and there are so many other awesome ingredients you could add, so you don't really need it. Also, I felt like I got a pretty small scoop for its price. I love spicy but I don't always have the tolerance for it... unfortunate, I know. One of the workers saw me struggling once and gave me a free sample of the dole whip to cool off. THAT'S customer service.

It's not all you can eat. You can choose between a sushi bowl, salad or burrito. I got a small salad bowl which comes with two types of meat for $10.95.

Not sure I haven't tried it as yet if they have a website check out the ingredients and nutrition information. If they use Soy base or Almond base and you have those allergies you may want to do more research but maybe other things there you can try… Read more

Silver spoon delivery is the king/queen of delivery. They service a lot of different areas. I've used them when living in an apartment in Hamden as well as a suburb in North Haven (limited delivery options in the burbs). All the good restaurants that don't normally deliver will deliver through this service. Depending on where you live the minimum order amount for delivery varies,(usually around $20 minimum). In Hamden/North Haven/Cheshire some of the options include Ixtapa(Mexican), Bangkok Boulevard(Thai), Playwright(Pub), Everyday Gourmet(Italian) so many more but those are some of my favs. They also offer fast food options like Moes. Their hours are 10am-10pm everyday for their service, but things vary with individual restaurants. Never used it, but they also offer a convenience store that delivers and a liquor store. At their website they say that they will deliver from any of our favorite restaurants. "The best part of our delivery service is that you are not restricted to only a handful of restaurants to order from, you can choose the restaurant of your choice and get the order of your choice. There is no restriction on quantity or amount of order either, so your order can range from $5.00 to $1,000. If you're searching for that authentic, old-school Jewish deli experience without trekking into…read moreNYC, Katz's Deli Restaurant in Woodbridge is a masterclass in tradition. Here is why this spot remains a cornerstone of the Connecticut food scene. The Star of the Show: The "Elaine" Cut The absolute centerpiece of the menu is the Elaine cut of corned beef. For those who find standard deli meats a bit too lean or dry, the Elaine cut is a revelation. It is: * Perfectly Marbled: Expertly trimmed to retain just enough fat to keep the meat incredibly moist. * Melt-in-Your-Mouth: Steamed to a point where it practically falls apart under your fork. * Generously Portioned: They don't skimp; the sandwich arrives piled high, a true monument to deli meat. The Foundation: Perfect Rye A sandwich is only as good as its vessel, and Katz's seeded rye is the gold standard. It features a crust that offers a slight "snap" when you bite into it, while the center remains soft enough to soak up the juices from the corned beef without disintegrating. The caraway seeds add that essential, earthy punch that cuts through the richness of the meat. The "Accessories" (The Full Reuben Experience) While the meat stands alone, the accompaniments elevate it to a gourmet level. To get the full experience, you have to lean into the "accessories": * Swiss Cheese: Thick, nutty, and perfectly melted. * Russian Dressing: Tangy and creamy with just the right amount of zest. * Coleslaw: Crisp, fresh, and not overly drowned in mayo--it provides a vital crunch. * The Pickles: No visit is complete without their signature pickles, which provide the sharp acidity needed to cleanse the palate. In an era of disappearing hospitality, the staff at Katz's are refreshingly helpful and efficient. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, there's a sense of "family" energy that makes the dining room feel warm. While deli prices have risen everywhere, Katz's offers genuine quality for what you pay. You aren't just paying for a sandwich; you're paying for premium cuts, house-made sides, and a portion size that usually guarantees a delicious lunch for the following day
