It's also possible to add mashed sweet potato if you like (I'm still serious!). Finally without the carrots and cabbage, the poke was very good to me (along the lines of East Coast American poke). The fish was fresh, edamame excellent, and sauces very nice. They don't have spicy mayo at Kailua Poké, but they have chili sauce and pear mayo, which were good together. A note that the fish portion at Kailua Poké seems to be about double the fish portion at Maui Poké Guys, and Kailua Poké was a bit cheaper. I guess this is due to location? This place is amazing. A month later and it still brings a smile when I think about this cute…read morelittle place, and the warm welcome we received and the enthusiasm with which they served us despite the two of us just sharing only one bowl. We met our friend there for lunch and though he loves this place, their choice of blasting reggae music which drives him insane really makes me chuckle. We would have never thought to look for Poké here in Hamburg. But though we call them Buddha bowls on the east coast, they were truly delicious! There are a whole bunch of toppings to choose from, which is nice but not being able to get extra of something is a bummer. Took quite a while to get here too, bearing in mind that everything is raw, so there is a minus point for that too. Looks can be deceiving and that was definitely the case with the bowl I got. BLAND is what I have to say like nothing at all was seasoned, everything was just thrown in the bowl without any care so that´s a disappointment too, the sushi rice was bland as anything, no salt, no sushi rice seasoning, no nothing. the fish was the same, I ordered for my fish to have teriyaki seasoning on it but there was none of that, just bland fish. All the other toppings were pretty bland too honestly, and I wouldn't order here again. There are way better poke places in Hamburg so choose wisely.
