Knokke is a cute little coastal beach town and we were there in the spring when the weather is not so nice but luckily we were able to get a table without a wait as surely this place would be packed during peak season. All 4 of my colleagues went for the beef tartare which looked good - and they said it was done really well but to me it just looked like beef mince on a plate. I ordered the lamb chops and it was delicious! Cooked and seasoned to perfection. They had a really good selection of desserts but of course I had to try something I normally couldn't. I had the ice cream with advocaat - which is like a liqueur. The ice cream was creamy and delicious but thought the liqueur was a bit strong! Huge portion of it actually so only ate the best bits. Dunno if I'd come back to Knokke but if I do I'd definitely want to come back here for dinner.

You could either eat outside enjoying the weather or inside on colder or rainy days. So that talk about the place has been there burgers so since I am a burger lover and have to many all over the world let's give this place a try. They have only a few options to choose from. One is the normal beef with cheddar cheese and bacon burger at a cost of 18€ with basic normal fries (That's what I ordered). While my wife ordered there special burger that was imported with a white cheese which cost a extremely high price of 20€ includes potato wedges nice flavor. Overall both burger were served on normal hamburger buns that got way to messy as you bite into your burger. The bacon cheese burger was a over salty for both of us and for me average at best specially for that high price tag and fries where below average as well as this is being Belgium and they are known for there fires. While the special house burger had good flavor but also was average for the high price tag and the potato wedges were excellent that was the life line of the meal. Me and my wife enjoy the people working there and drinks there are excellent as well. Large selection of many different kinds of Gin and wine.

We were lucky to find Romantik Hotel Auberge de Campveerse Toren. They had a nicely set up outdoor area with comfortable chairs and umbrellas but inside the hotel & upstairs there was a cozy pub with nice dark woods and lush red & purple velvet chairs The Mr & I scored a table right beside the window with a lovely view towards the water, the docks & passing sailboats Fries with mayo & 2 dark beers were the choice for the snacking & those fries were perfect. Crispy on the outside & tender on the inside. The mayo had a yummy tart quality that paired very well with the fries. The beers were bold, smooth with a slight nutty undertone - perfect fry partner! The room was packed with happy people, celebrating the day & good friendship. This was a wonderful stop!

Simply a perfect meal…read more Brasserie Raymond is like the best of Parisian Brasseries, yet more welcoming and comfortable. The service is impeccable; friendly, professional, speedy yet never rushed. The food is fantastic. When you sit down, you will be given some fresh bread in a little "Raymond" bag, rillette--a pork pâté--and some small olives to nibble on. We chose the Prix Fixe menus Raymond and Belge, but they have a full a la carte menu and most people seemed to do that. The starters of mushroom toast and shrimp croquettes started the parade of delicious dishes. The toast was crispy and buttery with perfect garlicky mushrooms on top. The croquettes were very crispy on the outside with a soft interior. Lovely. The toast came with a green salad. The main courses of Belgian Stew and Sole (Sliptongue) were perfectly cooked, with the fish sliding easily off the bones and the stew beef rich and tender. They came with frites (with homemade mayonnaise) and a salad, and dunking the fries in the stew was an added delight. Dessert--though we were getting quite full at this point--was a lovely crème brûlée, with perfect crispy sugar on top and soft rich custard below. Wow. We also had ice cream in a dark chocolate sauce with some small crisp bits on top (sweetened puffed rice?). It was also amazing. We wish we were in Bruges longer so we could go back. Next time we certainly will.
