Well I found both from this location. The pizza pepperoni actually had wonderful flavor with tomato sauce. The crust was on the thin side though it was a little bit tough and chewy. Also they were not able to slice all the way through the pie for individual pieces you had to finish it yourself. The lasagna was very flavorful. It had a hint of Italian sausage there is lots of meat, lots noodles lots a good cheese ....Overall not too shabby of a lasagna. So if you're in Rio de Janeiro and pine for some homestyle cooking,this is part of a chain so you could probably find one nearby you...I suggest you give them a try.

The counter includes bottles of lemon juice, Arabian pepper sauce, and molho de ajo(garlic sauce), or in my case, all three. Tips: practice your Portuguese. All of the workers are monolingual, but I was happy to push myself and get my orders right.( I did make one of the counter clerks laugh when I said não sei.) If you eat at the counter, you'll rub elbows with locals as they enjoy a quick lunch. Tip 2: no food photos. If you choose the proper sauce to pair with it, you will be fine. I had spaghetti with ruccola and shrimps. They cooked the salad in the shrimp sauce; I had never seen it done that way before. My friend had a sauce made from catupiri, mushrooms nuts, and shrimps. It was totally awful; there was a lake of it, and it both completely drowned and overpowered the pasta.. If you dine here, stick to the Italian-style sauces and you'll be a happy camper. The quality of the pasta was good; it was al dente and well made, however it doesn't taste or look different from industrial pasta at all. The food not withstanding, what unquestionably brought my rating of this restaurant down to three stars was the service. The waiters were negligent. When asked for fresh ground pepper they simply put the pepper mill on the table. Menus were not brought until we had been sitting for 15 minutes, and it took three requests before we could get our check at the end of the meal.

We had a birthday party to celebrate for a friend, and we all had a total blast! The food kept coming and everyone left happy. It was quite busy, and the service was off at times, but we were all happy with the experience. Tip: This place is not about quality, it's about QUANTITY. Show me the money. Most people in the restaurant ordered the AYCE pizza, which looked pretty good. Make sure you aren't extremely hungry when you go, as it takes awhile to get the food.
