Horrible ongoing issue!…read more Last year I bought an Insignia tablet at Best Buy Nuevo Sur. The fact of the matter is that it was a GREAT tablet. It was fast, easy to use, and great battery life. I was in love with it but then the right side of the tablet would not work. The tablet was never dropped it just stopped working. They verified everything at Best Buy and they stated that I needed to call Insignia since it had a 1 year warranty. So I went home and called them. After I talked to them they said that Best Buy should take care of it. So, I went back to Best Buy, another lady told me that I had to call Insignia since they are not responsible. After a few days I was able to sit down and call Insignia again to get this resolved. Sure enough the Insignia representative told me that Best Buy needed to take care of the issue and if I had any issues they were willing to talk to them. So I went back to Best Buy. This time, another lady was about to tell me the same thing and I told her NO! Since I bought the extended coverage she wanted to use it. I told her no.... I wanted to use the manufacturer's warranty. Again, she told me to call Insignia. At that moment, I told her I will call them from my cellphone and they can deal with each other since neither of them wanted to take responsibility. She then called her supervisor and the she was able to take care of the issue immediately. An exchange was made and went home. After a few weeks with the new tablet I realized that battery life was not as good as the first one. Within a month the battery would only last about 30 minutes. Within two months it was 10 minutes. I went back to Best Buy (January 13, 2016) to check on this. I had the tablet fully charged and showed them the battery life. They saw that it only lasted an about 7 minutes and understood the issue. They wanted to use the extended coverage again I told them no since it still had the manufacturer's warranty. The lady (Gabriela) told me to call Insignia. I explained the procedure to the lady. Since she was not aware of the procedure she called someone to help her. As per the lady, there was no more Insignia and I had to pay about $500 extra and $300+ for the extended coverage. I was not going to pay any more and I needed an alternative. She told me to go to another store. I was willing to go but I wanted to check if they had the tablet available so I requested their phone number. At that moment, she decided to call check. Sure enough, they did not have the tablet available. She told me to go back in a few weeks and they will have them available. I went back on February 3 and sure enough they did not have them available. At that point I asked to speak to a Supervisor. Explained the issue to the supervisor and she offered the extended coverage if I pay the difference for another tablet. So, I did. This time was the INCO tablet. This tablet had issues since day one. Every time I tried to connect the charger I would get an error message and would take hours to charge. I took pictures of all the issues and went back to Best Buy. Since I went on February 28 (I am sorry but I do work) they were not able to change it so they had to use the extended coverage. I provided all the pictures and gave them details of the issues. They took it and let me know that I was going to get it back in about 4 weeks or so. I was ok but I just wanted the tablet fixed. On April 4th I received an email stating that it was fixed. I went to pick it up on April 7th. First thing I did was charge the tablet and sure enough I had the same issue!!!! E-mailed them as soon as I had a chance and they need to check with Geek Squad and if necessary send it again to extended coverage. That means waiting another 4 weeks to "fix" the issue. I believe I gave them the opportunity to make things right or fix issue but unfortunately it has not been resolved. Enough time and money was wasted from my part. I am done trying. Good luck to anyone trying to buy anything from Best Buy. PS. This information will be provided in Spanish later on.
