This Capital One Bank branch is about two miles from my home since I moved a few months ago to a…read moredifferent part of the Silver Spring area. I sought out the closet branch as I needed a document notarized. This is a more modern branch inside and out than the one I previously visited in Rockville MD on Rockville Pike. Making the left turn off Georgia Avenue to get there was not very difficult even without a traffic light. There's a small but sufficient parking lot & 2 drive thru banking lanes. When I entered the lobby an associate was there to greet me. She helped direct me to the person & place I needed to go. Having called the day before I knew there's always more than one notary available. I was put on a list as one of them was off the floor & on their break. I was told that I could take a seat at one of the tables on the left but as I needed a very specific amount of cash out of my account ($68) I got in line for a teller. There are five windows with only one open for customers. I waited about 3 minutes to be called forward by a male associate that emerged from the back. The teller was also my notary. He helped me get my cash after checking my id & handing me a withdrawal slip to sign. He told me that I could actually get very specific amounts of cash now from the ATM at this branch. I noticed that there was also an ATM at the back of the lobby. My transaction was quick and I was told to wait at one of the tables behind me where he meet me 30 seconds later. Having seen my document at the teller window he knew where I needed to fill it out. After which he signed it & stamped it. The transaction was recorded in a log book and I was done. All the associates were friendly and helpful & my tasks here were done in just about 12 minutes. I was happy to have this item off my to-do list! Until next time be kind to each other! #capitalone #notaryservice #banking #personalservice

Just got home from this shoddy banking experience. As the only ones waiting to see a banker my…read morehusband provided his ID and put our name on a list. We waited, and waited, and waited...in over an hour no one ever came to assist us. The female banker expressed a sour attitude and scowled walking to and from her office to a room adjacent to the tellers several times, as she was attempting to help a set of male customers. She never finished with them while we waited. The male banker in the adjacent office was working with a group of 3 female customers, one of whom loudly offered that they had already been there for 2 hours. It appeared that he didn't know what he was doing...one of the tellers even came to assist him at one point. He never finished with this group while we were there. We couldn't wait longer than the hour+ that we already wasted. When I asked when the Bank Manager would be there, I was informed that they never knew when she'd be there, as she had 2 branches...boy has this place gone down hill! Pick a different bank!

Once again, the Kensington Branch has deplorable customer service. After 15 years with this…read moreBranch, and 15 years of making monthly deposits, I was told that I can no longer deposit business checks into one of my accounts. When I inquired why, the response was "it has always been this way", although I have been depositing this way for 15 years. Rather than tell the truth, that their Bank policy had changed, or they did a software update, they gave no adequate response. *Worst customer service ever* When I asked to talk to the manager or assistant manager, of course they were unavailable, and the teller was unable to tell me when they would be in the branch. They do not even deserve a 1 rating/it should be lower. As of today, I am closing my accounts, and moving my money to Truist. At least they have managers available to solve issues.

First time visitor! The street parking situation leaves A LOT to be desired, but is typical of the…read morearea (and it was free on the weekend). I was greeted the moment I entered. I overheard the person that greeted me tell someone they were short staffed today. This type of communication should not take place in the open "public" space. Or, you should tell each customer as they enter so everyone is on the same page. This was a bit discouraging and made me think my wait would be much longer. The person that greeted us spoke Spanish to someone coming after me. I thought this was AWESOME that she was able to help the person in the language with which she was most comfortable. To my immediate right (upon entering), an employee was helping a customer in a restaurant styled booth area. I didn't like/would not like to have absolutely no privacy while conducting business. There are floor to ceiling "windows" that appear to be walls. But these are actually curtains. The curtains go up when/if a transaction is needed. I thought this was cool and created an added safety feature. There are also glass offices where other tellers worked. My experience... I will NEVER return to this location as there is no privacy and the customer service/protection of customer personal information is nonexistent. I got stuck having to conduct my transaction at the dreaded restaurant styled booth!!!! I had to tell the teller to stop repeating my personal info (name, address etc) loud enough for the entire bank to hear (he was not talking loud, there was just no privacy). All in all, I was in and out pretty quick, but will never return to this location.
