Absolutely love my eyebrows. Amy was super nice and very informative throughout the process and always made sure I was ok. As a newbie, the pain was bearable and she applied just the right amount of pressure where you can tolerate it, plus the numbing cream did wonders where you couldn't feel it at all. To be honest, she was kinda confused as to why I was getting my eyebrows done in the first place. Didn't really know what to expect, but came here after a friends sister had a good experience. I have NO eyebrows. They're super sparse and even when I go out without eye makeup, I'll still slightly fill in my brows because I don't want to look eyebrow-less. What I really liked a lot was how upfront she was about the risks of the procedure. So I had one episode of psoriasis a few years ago, and she really wanted to make sure I was aware and ok with the risk of it being triggered after getting microbladed (72 hours later and I'm still ok, by the way). She was really patient about adjusting the shape or my brows, and even checked midway to make sure they were progressing the way I wanted. She gave me warnings about the pain (yes the first round of cuts are pretty painful!), but 110% I think it was worth it. I would definitely do it again and plan to go for the touch up as well as go through the whole process again if it fully fades away. I'm so satisfied with my brows and have gotten a bunch of compliments in the past three days. I was concerned it would look creepy dark for the first few days, but honestly it doesn't even look THAT weirdly dark. The aftercare is easy to remember - keeping it dry for 10 days. That part requires being pretty mindful and careful about your daily activities, but I've found it to be doable so far. Amy also checks up with you on your progress, so that makes me feel so much more safe (and holds me accountable haha). If you're thinking of getting your eyebrows microbladed, I would highly recommend Amy. If I knew how comfortable she would make me feel about the process, I would have gone earlier! read more

To start, I have had light patchy eyebrows since childhood. I also have a weird scar that left one of my brows misshaped. When I first saw Amy's page on yelp, my hopes were high. All five-star reviews and I thought it was too good to be true... But what the hell, you only live once right? So I made an appointment online, entered my credit card info to reserve the appointment, and was confirmed right away through her online website booking. I've never had my eyebrows microbladed before and I was nervous. Amy explained it feels like a cat scratch...great! I have a cat...and he scratches me on the daily. I thought to myself, I GOT THIS GIRL. Amy went over the different color and shape options and explained the entire process before she started. She also showed me after pictures to prepare for patches and peeling skin, which may occur. I showed her some examples of what I wanted and left it up to her to do right by my brows. She was so nice and informative that I felt completely comfortable trusting her with my face. You can tell she is very knowledgeable about her craft. Amy drew a template to show me what the shape would look like and adjusted it to my liking. She was very patient and willing to accommodate my taste. She also gave input as to what she thought would look best on my face. After applying a swab of lidocaine, she began the procedure. I won't lie, it did hurt. But it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. And full disclosure - getting scratched by my cat is actually worse LOL. She did a couple rounds with a short break in between and let me look in the mirror as she went to see the progress. I ended up in shock after seeing my finished brows. My brows are ON FLEEK. My brows are SNATCHED. My brows got me walking down 3rd Ave like I own the place. Go to Amy. Just go. She truly is an artist. Yelp fam, I would never steer you wrong. Note on directions: Her room is located in the basement level of the building (sounds sketchy but I promise it's not!). There is the main building with the revolving door: she's not in that one. Instead go to the regular glass door with the number keypad that's right past the liquor store. Then go downstairs and walk straight to #11. Thank you SO much Amy for my brows! I love it so much. I've searched for a place to get my eyebrows microbladed with a reasonable price and after the extensive search on Yelp, I came to Amy. So- the entrance of her place is from Sola Salons. It is next to Crunch gym and easy to find. When I got there, she asked me if I was on any medications or if I am allergic to anything and about any skin conditions I have. Afterwards, she took a before picture and then started to line my brows with a ruler like thing. She asked and made sure that I liked the final shape. Next, I lied down and she had a pillow for your legs and a blanket for you while she starts her magic! The whole process took 1-1.5 hours and even after she microbladed my brows, she asked if I wanted thicker, longer, etc and also gave me her honest suggestions and feedback. Got my microblading done by Amy back in July. She was so sweet and amazing. Very patience in explaining the process and showed concerns for her client. I was extremely skeptical about coming here but figured I don't have much to lose-- my brows are naturally super light which has been a source of insecurity but now they're on point. Finally caved and got microblading done. Amy was very informative, detailed and careful. Her studio is very clean and relaxing. I have still go for the touch up, but the first round (pictured) went very well - it healed nicely and there was good pigment deposited. Some spots were missed and flakes off, but she says that's typical and can be addressed during my touch up. Edit: funny how all of my reviews except for this business show up but this one isn't reliable? Sure Yelp. Anyways, I'm certain the ones filtered are authentic since Yelps filtering algorithm isn't reliable. Looking at Amy's work I knew she could do a great job, her portfolio shows she can create dramatic but natural looking changes that compliment the face. When I got to her studio (in a Sola Salon building) Amy was very inviting and we got down to what I wanted and what I didn't want. I asked for her input as well (although I wish had taken more of her input to go darker but I was still nervous about the whole process and wanted to play it safer) and we picked a great color and shape for my brows. Everyone's pain tolerance is different but I found the experience similar to someone pinching the skin at times, and I was honestly so distracted with chatting that after it was done it felt like no big deal. Amy does describe before the process the steps and what happens after your brows are done. You have to not let any water be touching or your hands or fabric rubbing against the brows and some other things (like no saunas) after the first week and month of healing. She gives you a good idea of what to expect, I myself did get the tight itchy feel and flaky feeling going on. It isn't so bad for me that I was nervous or embarrassed to be in public. I actually loved how dark it got that I regret playing it too safe and want to go again for a touch-up and go darker. The next day I returned again to get a Keratin lash lift (an eyelash perm)since I have stubborn stick straight eyelashes that don't match with my glow up brows. The keratin lash is still holding up but I made sure to not have any water touch them between 24-48 hours and the curl lasts between 2-3 months depending on care. I've already have families and friends asking me what I've done with my eyes as they appear brighter in color and larger. As cheesy as it may seem but I told Amy I feel like she really made me feel prettier. I look forward to getting a touch-up. read more

My eyebrow game is so strong after I got my brows done by Amy!! I don't have to draw in my brows every morning... and for a person that squeezes every minute of sleep I could get, it saves me a lot of time in front of the mirror and more time in bed :D After my first session it looked darker than anticipated during the first week but the peeling soon starts.
