I wish I could leave zero stars. It is now over 2 months since my visit and my issue has still not been addressed. My wife has spoken to a representative about my issue and has been given the run around. PM Pediatrics has been paid by my insurance and by my family (via credit card). THEY ARE NOT REFUNDING MY MONEY TO ME AND HAS MY ACCOUNT ON "HOLD". I'm being charged interest on my credit card for my payment. I RECOMMEND THAT NOBODY GOES TO ANY OF THEIR LOCATIONS. Absolutely horrible experience at the Rockville Centre location. They claim to honor appointments and after a two hour wait, I still was not taken. Upon inquiring with the lady at the front desk multiple times, you would think it would be hard to give any sort of update for those waiting. An estimated time frame could not be given on how much longer I would be waiting, and kept being reassured there were people ahead of me. Great - however - I continued to wait well past my appointment with my 6 month old daughter in the packed waiting room with kids coughing and sneezing. When brought to their attention twice throughout the 2 hour wait, nothing was done. Not an offer to sit in a different room, or effort to expedite the nurses. Took my son to pm pediatric in Rockville centre to rule out pneumonia or severe case of bronchitis. The front desk and medical assistant was professional and nice. The person who came in the treatment room never introduced themselves or revealed their credentials. Listened to my son's lungs through a thick sweatshirt and another shirt , checked his ears and throat and ruled out pneumonia and said it was slight bronchitis so she prescribed steroids. I asked was she gonna order a chest xray she said they don't do chest xrays to rule out pneumonia. And she got an attitude when I asked her about that protocol. She never prescribed anything else for his other symptoms and rushed out the room. Im also in Healthcare as well as my wife. We got a second opinion same day and got the appropriate treatment we were looking for. Be careful who medically treats you and your family. Made an appointment at 9:15pm on a Sunday night. No one was in the waiting area. We were in and out in 45 minutes including X-rays done. The woman at the front desk was very nice and had a calm voice, and helped me with my paperwork quickly. My daughter was seen by a PA named Sarah, who was very nice and listened to her. Then the doc saw her and took X-ray's and gave us immediate results of the X-rays. They also gave her ibuprofen which helped. It was a very effective and fast appointment! read more

This was a few months ago but every time I think about it I get angry all over again. We went to this pm pediatrics because I thought something was wrong with my baby's eyes. When the doctor walked in I was a little surprised the "doctor was this young girl had to be in her 20s with regular clothes on and fake acrylic hot pink nails. I told her my concerns and she just looked like she didn't know what to do or say. I even had to ask her if she can take a look at her eyes with those tools they use (not sure what they're called but it has a little light on it). My baby was clearly upset and wouldn't open her eyes and this lady was trying to open her eyes with her bare hands and her long nails so close to her eye it was making me so nervous. After trying to look she still didn't know what to say and just sent us off to the childrens hospital where we stayed for a couple hours just to be told everything looks fine. read more

I just wanted to take a moment to thank the staff for taking such good care of our daughter last night. First time using an urgent care facility for our daughter and I was pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff member, I can't remember her name, was helpful, patient and was so warm. Once in the room, the nurse was patient and helped put our daughter at ease. Dr Penzel listened to my concerns, spoke to my daughter directly and was thorough and very gentle. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Been there twice in the last four months and was blown away - from the receptionist (each time) to the PAs, to the doctors. Last night the staff was thoroughly exhausted after an insane 12 hour shift and STILL they treated my daughter and me (at 11:30 PM) like gold. Dr. Jean-Phillippe had me at hello! My son recently got sick, we went to PM Pediatrics happy at first since it was open til 12 AM, we were very worried since his condition was getting worse, and then when we got there, they told us they weren't going to take anyone else at this time. Don't waste your time we expected a lot better from the reviews. There was some other people going in and they had the same treatment, assuming they had the same answer from this staff member, she was looking like she didn't care at all for what we needed. read more

The receptionist is rude and doesn't empathize with the fact that pariente that make appointments get bumped and made to wait for 2 hours. What's the point to book ? As it's never a good reason when you visit an urgent care or ER, I must say that the care of the staff for their patients at PM Pediatrics in Rockville Centre, is top notch. Came here with my daughter as she was referred to the ER by her neurologist, due to dehydration and migraine. I opted to take her to PM Pediatrics, rather than go to the hospital . Best decision made. I called in advanced and they got us in without much wait.Dr. Friedman was incredible, immediately gave her an IV and medication to help with pain and nausea. The nurses (Jacki) were so friendly, courteous and showed a legitimate sense of caring. Constantly checked on my daughter to ensure she was getting better. offered me coffee and snacks while I waited for my daughter to recover. I called tonight with a serious emergency, thinking i would get the help I needed; I was VERY WRONG. My mother is away for a family emergency and had to leave abruptly forgetting to leave insurance cards with her. As an older sister I have my insurance card since I'm over the age of 18. My brother broke his foot, and since this is the closest urgent care and the only one open late on a Sunday , It was our last hope. We couldn't be bothered with an emergency room, so I called. I asked the lady at the front desk if i could use my health insurance since we share the same last name, stating he cant walk, and that it was an emergency. I knew this was a long shot, nevertheless she SAID "NO" LAUGHED AT ME AND WAS EXTREMELY SARCASTIC. I work in retail and not once have i been sarcastic or rude to a customer, and this is "health care." I am appalled, disgusted, and very ashamed that someone would be so rude, especially in the medical field, no wonder why shes just a receptionist. I would give this place a zero if I could because they make it impossible to be seen. Their whole registration process is STUPID AND RIDICULOUS. When you walk in, the receptionist sitting there doing nothing at all points to a paper and say you have to go to this website and request a visit. And she then tells you to go back to your car to do it because no one can sit in the waiting room. The website directs you to download an app that doesn't accept insurance information properly. So when I walk back in to tell them I'm having trouble with this app they give me a help desk phone number to fix it. So the help desk person send me to another help desk number's answering machine, at that point I got frustrated and left. What if you're not technologically inclined to do things through an app, what if you don't speak English because the app is in English, what if you don't have a car to go back to in 37 degree weather because no one can sit in the waiting room. The way the are doing things at this place is pointless and dumb what' so hard about taking peoples name and insurance information there on the site. I can't say enough about the care we received at nearly 11pm tonight for our sick little girl. She was showing signs of flu with a high fever. As always, I explained to the medical assistant that my daughter will fight us to the death before she will take any medication and throw up afterwards and I didn't know how I was going to administer fever reducer, let alone antibiotics. (She has never agreed to wear a band aid in her life) And as always I expected the same response "tough love" "sometimes you need a 2nd or 3rd person..." but this time was different. At 11pm, an exhausted Nurse Marjorie decided enough was enough and our daughter was going to take that Motrin to lower her 103 fever, like it or lump it. This kid put up the fight of her life and did everything but bite this strong lady! But Nurse Marjorie didn't flinch and got her to swallow all 7.5ml of grape flavored Motrin as she promised. This place is top notch, the receptionist and doctor that saw her were pretty great too! read more

I was very pleased with the care my son received at PM pediatrics. the receptionist, the nurse, marjorie, and the doctor were all great. It was late on a Saturday evening, memorial day weekend. There were seven children with different issues and the doctor was patient, kind and always smiled. The wait was a little long, but that was only due to the amount of patients at that time and the nature of all of their various ailments. I am very fortunate to have someplace so close to home that is capable of providing xrays and excellent care. My first choice is always my pediatrician, but since they were bought out by NYU langone, their office hours aren't as accommodating as they once were. PM pediatrics is an excellent alternative. read more

I wanted to thank Dr. Carolyne Jean-Philippe and the clerk for keeping the office opened to treat my daughter, although we arrived 20 minutes past closing. I only contacted them 3 min prior to closing, and they agreed to wait for me! Within 5 minutes of my arrival, my daughter was receiving much needed nebulizer treatment, and reassurance from a friendly Dr. Carolyne. She carefully checked her oxygen saturation and listened to her chest with a steth and her ears, before and after each treatment, to make sure she was appropriately responding. She offered a 2nd treatment, when the 1st wasn't effective enough, though she could have given up after more than 1 hour past closing, and sent her to the ED. When she sent her home, my daughter was smiling, and told me if she needed to see the dr. again, she wished to return to this office to see Dr. Carolyne! She was compassionate and competent, and went beyond the call of duty. She also educated me and gave me a nebulizer to bring home, to continue treatment, and in case it should ever recur. She gave me clear instructions about how to administer treatment, and when to see my pediatrician. She took a good history, and made my very nervous 3 y/o daughter leave with a good feeling, that she was well cared for past 1:30 am, though the office is supposed to close at 12am. She spared us the long wait and anxiety of a bustling ED, and gave us exactly the same treatment. No wonder my doctor emphasized that if I choose an urgent care center, over the ED, it has to be a specialized one, like PM Pediatrics. It is way better than a regular urgent care and worth the trip! read more
