    US Post Office

    US Post Office

While this post office ostensibly exists to service the rural residents of northern Sheridan…read morecounty, Montana, the proximity to the Canadian border reveals that this is the closest post office to Regina, Saskatchewan (population 230,000) and the towns of Ceylon, Pangman, Ogema and Minton (and a few others most likely). While Canadians can get packages from most vendors shipped directly to them, increases in US postal shipping costs to Canada and the high brokerage fees often charged when importing packages via courier can make it attractive to receive packages and mail in the US and then drive from Canada to the US to go get them. I've done this the last three years. The service I get at this post office (whether from Dawn, John, or other less regular staffers) is invariably excellent and the post office readily acknowledges that Canadians form a core part of its business, and are quite tolerant about my inability to get down daily to pick up mail. Not all shippers will send packages to a PO box, but most will, and I save quite a lot of money. In some cases, US shipping is the only option as many shippers won't ship to Canada. If you're in the local area, you're probably compelled to use this post office, but you benefit from all this great service too! And all the Canadian business means it's more likely to be profitable for the USPS. For Canadians, a more significant post office exists in Plentywood, about 13 km/8 miles down the road, but I like the ability to shave that round trip off my driving if I don't need to go to town. (I go to town about 80% of the time I go, but for the 20% the shorter driving is a great thing.)

The service inside is fantastic. The one north of town also fantastic. The people overall…read more. fantastic! But this whole review probably lies on one persons horrendous work ethic. I am not sure of the process, but maybe ups needs to review their hiring process for delivery drivers. I could not possibly imagine any other reason for a delivery driver to leave my packages on the wrong floor, wrong door, or outside my apartment complex other than he/she is completely illiterate or has the work ethic of a Chinese red panda. Packages have ended up in different places in my apartment complex other than my door. The location of my packages change more than an add kid with a remote. I held my tongue and let it go because in the end I got my package and I know all to well that someone can have a bad day.... maybe even 6 of them in a row but again in the end I got my goods. Not this time, not the one time that I had high dollar electronics sent to my house... it's no where to be found. How hard is it to match numbers to doors? Why would a driver leave a package for an apartment #302 at 106?! I can under stand leaving it at like a 102 or 202, hell I even walk to the wrong floor sometimes.... but a completely different number?! And it's not once, not twice, not three, nope not four, getting closer but not five, but six.... six different packages left in random locations. Thank god for all of the random placed packages, it gave me great training for Easter egg hunting this weekend! Without my computer I ordered that I was going to use for getting a lot of work done, Il have plenty of time to get further behind and look for other random things to do! So I should thank the delivery driver on my route for keeping me on my toes and changing it up on the regular... I hate coming home and just having my package where I expect it should be delivered. it's 900x's more fun to search the entire complex, and even more fun not to find it. So shout out to that delivery driver you have running near the 30th street east area for making the odds of my package being where it should around the same of getting struck by lightening twice then hit by a train while boating. Again, everyone else here are great people, besides the driver whom I wouldn't even trust to deliver a pizza, they are a great company and everywhere else they seem to do a great job and those other people are the only reason I don't put one star.... I made this account solely because of this delivery driver and the absolute nightmare he is putting me through with getting reimbursed and a new one sent.... which I think il just pick up from the store.

this has to be the worst delivery service of any UPS store. They are extremely always late never…read moredelivered to the wrong address. Can't read simple delivery. Instructions definitely don't pay for next not worth it. If you live in an apartment it does not matter the size of the package you will have to go to the customer service center you might as well have it shipped directly to the customer service facility if I can give this zero start or negative start I would
