Just 10 minutes south of Great Yarmouth, Pleasurewood Hills is a great day out, especially if you have children. Covering over 50 acres it is Suffolks biggest theme park. The park includes plenty of different restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes from Porkys Pantry where you can grab yourself a bacon roll or a hot dog to The Railway Tearooms where you can enjoy afternoon tea with scones! The prices of food throughout the park are also quite reasonable too. There is an entrance fee to the park but you can leave the park and re enter at any time of the day as long as you get your hand stamped as you are leaving. Children under 1 metre tall can enter the park for free. Children between 1 metre and 1.4metres is £11.75. Children over 1.4metres and Adults is £14.00. I'd never heard of this place until we were on a holiday staying nearby. I wasnt expecting much to be honest, but i was pleasantly suprised! We had our kids (9,3,2months) and we spend most of a day there! It's not the hugest place, but they fit quite alot in. The bigger rides, you did have to Q quite a while but nowhere near as bad as say Thorpe etc. There was quite a varied selection of rides. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They esp loved the little train that would take you from one part of the park to another. (at no cost). If you have a buggy, you may have to wait a little longer for a ride, as they only fit 1 or 2 buggies on (unless you want to fold them up). To be honest it's prob just as quick walking, but try telling the kids that! There was a gooD selcetion of places to eat. Plenty of toilets dotted about. I would def recommend this place for a visit. Pleasurewood Hills is located near Lowestoft, and only 10 minutes away from Gt Yarmouth which makes it very easy to get to if you're holidaying in the area. It's a great place to take small children (and bigger children!) as it is really well sign posted and there is plenty of parking onsite. Cost was very reasonable for the amount of rides/entertainment inside and there is lots to see and do, great picnic areas and things to do for everybody, would definitely recommend. read more

Don't let your year slip by without a visit to this regions biggest and best theme park, Pleasurewood Hills. Where do I start? Firstly I'd like to suggest anyone considering this place for a day out to save their money. We travelled for 4 hours to take 3 disabled children to enjoy a wonderful day out at this place. We'll it was far from a wonderful experience........ we had to change the poor children in completely unsanitary conditions. I cannot even explain how awful and dirty the disabled toilets are. When requesting for assistance at the restaurant and explaining how we had 3 disabled children with us the manager actually said to me "well I don't think you are telling the truth there" NICE! We were refused entry to a ride as the priority pass didn't work on that ride. We explained our children who were in wheel chairs were unable to stand for long and the manager said "the structure of the ride doesn't allow us to let you on before others" WORK THAT OUT. Members of the public even said they would let the children past. But the manager said no. We then headed to the pirate ship where our children had the best time. We asked of we could keep the children on as there was no queue and we were told no come back in 30 mins. The park shut 15 mins later. We had in all 3 rides and everything else was pretty much shut. I cannot stress enough how this place is not inclusive and our children were completely discrimated against. For 3 children who are unable to express their feelings can you imagine what they must have felt. I'm absolutely disgusted in the whole of the park. I will never return and I hope others don't waste their money on this joke of a place! read more

I wish it was possible to give this place minus points as it is definately the worst place I've ever been in my entire life on holiday. First off all the staff were rude, rude, rude. They even questioned my disability when I asked if there were any concessions upon entry, they made my husband go back to the car and show them my blue badge, I WAS IN A WHEELCHAIR!!!! Then the park itself was a huge let down, the sealions looked half dead poor things, at least 3 of the rides were broken down with PEOPLE ON THEM!!! And then the ghost ride got grease all over my white coat and when I went to complain they accused me of doing it myself so as to make money. My hubby went balistic and they threw us out and said we were trouble makers I was crying and trying to tell them my 12 year old daughter was still in the park at the ice cream stand and they made us go out the main gate anyway surrounded by security making us leave our poor daughter alone and crying until they found her and threw her out to. read more

Because there's nowhere quite like it in the town, Pleasure Wood Hills is definately worth a visit for those in Lowestoft. It's convinently located, next to Tesco and the new Travellodge, and easy to get to from the A12. I would say the park is definately more for those with smaller children, as they have taken a lot of the bigger rides away, although teenagers and adults can still have a fun day. There are plentiful places to eat and good spots for pic-nics, which is always wonderful when in a theme park. So you don't have to carry your food around all day, you can either get your hand stamped and go back to the car, or use a locker by the front entrance. There are many popular rides within the park, such as the bumper cars, the pirate ship, the Rattle Snake rollercoaster, the wave rider, the log flume, and the chair lift to name a few. There are also shows, such as the popular Sealion show. A family could definately spend a day exploring the park and not get bored. read more

The park is quite small but compact and is a fun, relatively cheap day out, especially if you can find vouchers online for it. There is a good selection of rides for teh adventurous and the more sedate of us. Its very child-friendly and a nice way to spend a day, you can take picnics to save money or splash out on the many eateries while you're there. read more

We had horrid food in the restaurant which was dried up and inedible,some of the rides were not working, 2main ones! the cable cars look dodgy to say the least,and some of the buildings are really scruffy.I saw a member of staff that looked like a hobo and was wearing a filthy uniform and it was all faded and sweaty , the kids were all scared when he walked by! the place needs a re-vamp imho and i would not recommend it unless u take ur own food,and dont look too closely ,at anything lol read more
