I've never been to a dentist where I was asked to pay before the service. I now know why. They refused and asked me to leave. I asked them "what kind of business are you running?" Beware of bargains with parachutes, brain surgery and dental care. Sometimes it is worth a little money to find out what type of people you are dealing with. This office is a total fraud.

Next, I did not get what I was lead to believe, would be attached to my existing teeth. What I paid a lot of money for, was nothing that I thought I paid for. It was a huge uncomfortable piece that crowded my mouth like a denture not an attached tooth. I can't wear it or believe that anyone would. When questioned; what I thought I was paying for, I was told that, I have to pay more, a lot more to get what I agreed and wanted in the first place. I don't have insurance and this dental practice is misleading and very costly. I'm stuck with an ancient, gross, huge mouth piece. When what I needed was easy but the process was made hard and I feel it was about making money, not the customers needs and ability to afford.

About 2 years ago I had to get some work done and chose Sango Family Dentistry because my wife goes…read morethere and seems to like it. I however, had a very different experience. I'm a veteran and used VA Community Care to cover the cost at Sango Family Dentistry along with my wife's dental insurance. I had a molar causing some pain and they decided they wanted to cut the tooth off and replace it with a crown. OK, easy enough. The problem is the tooth they cut had a nice size hole in it at the gum line. Well, they modeled the crown after the bad tooth and the hole remained in the crown. I went to 4 more appointments complaining about the still existing hole in that tooth and refused any other work be done until it was fixed. I was told numerous times by hygienists and the dentist himself there was no hole in that crown. After the 4th appointment I was expelled from Sango Family Dentistry by the very rude billing girl everyone sees when their session is over. Can't remember her name as this was 2 years ago and I tend not to remember names of people who have zero respect for others. She did however, have the audacity to try to get me to come in for cleanings and other sorts using my wife's dental insurance after expelling my off the VA Community Care program. Making pretty obvious it was all about the money! Fast forward to now. I started seeing a different dentist and what do ya know? There's a hole in the crown Sango Family Dentistry put in my mouth. The entire tooth had to be surgically removed because it went rotten under the crown that Sango Family Dentistry said had no hole in it. I wasn't even having problems with that tooth. The new dentist just saw it after the xray and said it needed to be fixed. I cannot and will not ever recommend this place to anyone and if you're a Veteran using Community Care, don't give them the money. They absolutely do not care about anything other than the money. Horrible practice that has cost me a lot. I will from this point forward talk nothing but negative about Sango Family Dentistry. What I appreciate so far is that they are professional, kind, and easy to work with. Scheduling is a breeze, they have better/longer hours than many dentist offices to fit with your schedule, and perhaps most importantly I have yet to feel a "hard sell" or needless up-sell from them. I've had plenty of dentists in the past who use every 6-month cleaning appointment to pitch expensive (non-insurance covered) cosmetic upgrades and questionable bonus procedures, but that has never been the case here. They evaluate my teeth and gums and give me honest feedback and care. They mask up when cleaning or inspecting my teeth--not even referring solely to COVID here, I have had plenty of dentists in my life who breath hot air into my face while inspecting me for absolutely no reason when a simple medical mask could have prevented that. They are friendly, but none of my hygienists so far have spent the entire time talking to me and making me talk back while tools are in my mouth obstructing my ability to do so! There's a fine balance between friendly, approachable and needlessly chatty and these folks have always been in the former camp. Clean office, plenty of parking, works with my insurance, the dentist has always been great and I have zero complaints. Would recommend.

He somehow kept my normally high anxiety daughter calm and relaxed. She didn't even need to get locally sedated. Amazing considering her track record. But now it's been so long I'm sure Belle Meade would never back up their work and probably wouldn't take care of it (or pay for me to get it done elsewhere which is what I'd rather do since it wasn't taken care in the first place and I paid a TON of money) I'm stuck with a crown that needs to be retreated and it would cost me over 3 grand AGAIN for a second time !!
