We stayed here for a night after a short drive (2 hours) from Christchurch airport. Timaru is a good stop between Christchurch and Dunedin. Rosemary was an excellent host. She welcomed us by the door the moment we pulled onto the driveway, showed us the shared dining/living area and our bathroom. Our king room (water view) was nice. It has a big comfortable bed with electric blanket. The TV only played DVDs but it was not a problem as they had a great selection to choose from. Amenities include face/bath towels, facial wipes and shower gel. Breakfast was delightful ! We started off with continental breakfast (yogurt/ home-made museli/ cereal/ toasts) and Rosemary made a hot-cooked breakfast for us, which included eggs/ tomato / bacon. Coffee was good too :) The only downside is this B&B is a bit of a drive (5 mins?) to downtown where most of the restaurants are. read more
