A fairly new and modern Game store and one of the increasing number of branches which don't fit…read moreinto the old stereotype of Game / Gamestation stores (after the merger the stores used to obviously look like their old store while still being in the newly merged brand), in a fairly good location towards the end of Sheffield The Moor, close to the market and Iceland Frozen Foods. The store has a decent selection but for me the aisles were slightly narrow and the space could have been utilised better - the screens and consoles were there to be on demo but they were turned off and not in use - there was nothing to suggest it was faulty, for me they were probably trying to just save on electricity. The selection in most areas was okay, even for mobile phones (somehow despite Game being one of the worst retailers to trade in your old phone too - see my previous review of their Brighton store for more information) A-OK sums it up so I feel three-stars is fair, but pretty much average. Better than the Meadowhall store and not a bad location for Sheffield anyway.

They stock things for the wii, playstation, gameboys, x box and many others. The stores can get quite busy and crowded because they are quite small.

The selection is usually very good and Game seems to keep the stock coming in regularly so that you aren't waiting too long for items that are out of stock. I recommend getting game card especially when trading in games. I was able to purchase 2 Xbox 360 games from my reward points.

CEX is a great place to pick up some good deals on preowned music and DVDs, i wouldn't buy any…read moreelectrical goods like phones etc. from them though as they tend to be over priced, especially considering they're second hand. The Music in the store isn't exactly to everyones taste mostly being heavier rock numbers but if you can put up with it for a few minutes you normally pick up some good deals. The staff are often helpful and will normally replace cd cases etc should they be in poor condition, the only thing being that you do sometimes get the occasional that seems like they would rather be sticking pins i their eyes then serving you.

So today I went to trade in my netbook, had to make two trips as I wasn't aware you had to bring in…read moreID, so once I finally got everything I needed I was told 'testing' would take 2 hours, I waited two hours in town then went back expecting the testing to be finished, but no it hadn't they said the charger cable which I had used the day before and they checked before it went into there hands was now broken, they said it was my fault but how as the cashier checked it before they denied any accusations as the cable has clearly been cut, they said it must have been damaged in transport but I think I have enough intelligence to not store a netbook and cables with sharp objects. Completely wasted and ruined my day never returning to cex which smells of sweat and urine, which is also the most disorganised shop I have ever seen, Yours sincerely Lost customer
