Playing Bears (1956) by Anne Grimdalen
Playing Bears is symbolic of the relationship between Rotterdam and Oslo. What started as a gift of a Christmas tree to Oslo led to this statue being gifted to Rotterdam.
This statue of two playful bears is so captivating. So cute. It is close to the ground as if the bears are really playing in the square (which would actually be a bit terrifying.)
Check out the Reading Girl which is also nearby in the square. read more
