The beach itself is very nice, but also the woods backing the beach is a nice area for people who prefers some cool shade and some quiet. There is plenty of free parking all along the way, but keep in mind that in high season they still fill up fast! There's a bunch of restaurants to fill your hungry stomach. Also bathroom / shower facilities. And then the part we liked best: A nice boardwalk all along the beach. It goes on for miles. Dogs are also allowed on there. Perfect for folks who need some walks like us. Loved it.

It's also kind of remote and requires a bit of a hike to get to. So generally you don't have to share the beach with very many people... you may even have the beach to yourself. Even if you aren't a beach goer, it's worth it to make the trek to the Beach of Silence just for the view from above. The Playa del Silencio is a slender crescent of sand at the foot of high, high cliffs. Hence, it does require a trek to get down to. If you do plan to sun bathe in tranquility, just take a snack and a towel. Don't bother carrying a chair or a bunch of stuff, you'll end up regretting it on the walk down. Also, leave the kids behind. This is a beach people visit with solitude in mind. The trek from the parking lot is kind of long as well. What's neat is the walk takes you through a eucalyptus forest which smells amazing.

The water is kind of murky, the sandy beach is awkwardly shaped and has a couple patches of rocks that can tear you up. What I did love about this beach is the HUGE bar/restaurant that's on the beach. They've got a great patio for eating, drinking and observing beach frolickers.
