This beach is beautiful and very large! The ocean water is a mix of green and blue that shimmers when the sun hits it just right. The sand, unfortunately, is not the white pearly sand of dreams but it is still desirable enough. We came during April, more specifically Spring Break. It wasn't crowded at all; however, it also wasn't that hot. The day was warm but the water was not. At least not enough for this 37 year old to jump in the water. If I would have jumped in, I would have jumped right back out to my Airbnb for a hot shower. My kids, however, had a great time and felt nothing as they collected cool little seashells and threw their bodies against the waves. Overall, it was a great day at a great beach close to the city center. A few things to note: 1) bring food and drinks because I saw zero stores or shops around that offer that stuff. 2) this is Europe so be prepared to see more skin than you will at the U.S. beaches (basically there seemed to be a shortage of tops to go with all bikini bottoms out there). 3) as in all the touristy spots in Spain, an innumerable amount of guys will approach your spot asking if you'd like to buy sunglasses, blankets, towels, beer, and other junk (too bad they weren't selling those tops we spoke of earlier; they'd have made a killing). A nice beach on the east side of Valencia. We rented bikes nearby and rode along the beach. It's fairly clean with the usual tourist trap restaurants along the pathway. Plenty of people walking, playing volleyball and just chilling. It had a small town beach feel to it. read more

Beach and boardwalk in Valencia, Spain. They have many restaurants available, most Mediterranean, all have full bars just about. There is a Burger King if you want fast food ... But most go for Paella. Some shops for souvenir are available and hotels on the beach front are available. The beach was crowded with visitors in December ... The beach has jungle gyms for the kids to play on every 100 yards or so. The view is nice of the peninsula and sunsets make a pretty picture. Public transportation is very easy to/from here by taxi, bus or train/tram. Give it a chance if you like the waterfront. read more

The beach was beautiful! The water was clear and warm. We went in July 2011 there was a market set up near the beach and it they had the worlds most amazing olives I think I ate a pound by myself! You can go topless if you so choose men and women in thongs oh my! Four tars because there was trash here and there. read more

Beautiful and clean with lots of restaurants to check out along the beach. Public transportation was easy and there were a lot of taxis lined up at night. Definitely worth the visit for a nice stroll along the beach and scenic view of the ocean. read more
