After living with pain in my neck and shoulder for a week, my wife talked me into visiting Dr…read more Gaussoin to see if it was a nerve issue. Boy, am I glad I listened to her! After 2 sessions, the pain is gone, and I am following up to obtain advice on exercises and preventive measures to avoid these sorts of problems in the future. What I most appreciate about Dr. Gaussoin is that he didn't just perform a spinal adjustment. He first evaluated the ranges of motion in my neck, shoulders and arms and tested for possible nerve issues. He advised I obtain x-rays at our local clinic and bring them to the follow-up visit. After confirming that there was a spinal injury that accounted for the neck and shoulder pain, he performed an adjustment that eliminated the pain. To prevent a recurrence, he will work with me on physical exercises that will help prevent a recurrence. I wish I had done this six months ago when I first had similar symptoms that lasted weeks and defied treatment with anti-inflammatories. I thoroughly recommend Dr. Gaussion, as you have nothing to lose but the pain caused by improper spinal alignment!

Immediate Relief for first-time patient…read more I'm excited to share that a new chiropractor has set up shop on the coast! Douglas Herting, who has been practicing for 30+ years, was able to see me the same day I called. At 32 weeks pregnant, and having never been to a chiropractor before, I was nervous about seeing a chiropractor. Dr. Herting was reassuring and kind. He took the time to explain everything he was doing, and what he was looking for before he made any adjustments, which I appreciated. I had been in a lot of pain from an SI joint issue, and was unable to walk without assistance. I was shocked and grateful when I stood up after the adjustment and could walk without pain! While there's still some inflammation to work through from almost a month of compensating for the pain, I am very grateful to be able to walk short distances again! I would absolutely recommend Dr. Herting to anyone looking for an experienced and thoughtful chiropractor on the coast! He is located in the Sea Watch building just off highway one near RCMS (giving details because Google maps will mislead you)!

WOMEN BE CAREFUL I am writing this to share my own experience with Douglas…read more Many many years ago I was sent to Douglas because the ENT practice couldn't resolve an issue with my ear. Perhaps 'Biofeedback ' could resolve it. Part of his process was to lie me on a table and Douglas literally says "I have to check your gag reflexes". I felt creeper out and got out as fast as I could. So many years later I still feel this frightening violation. I decided to see if I could figure out who it was. I checked Yelp The first practitioner I looked at was Douglas. There was the 1 star review by someone else whose experience was highly disturbing. Like me, so many women stay silent about being violated out of fear and shame.

It's a quiet office with a large hallway restroom, complimentary coffee and teas in the waiting room. Being within a Dr's office, it was clean and felt safe and serene. I received the 90 min hot stone massage and opted for the CBD oil add-on. My neck, shoulder and arm pain is something that comes and goes. At its worst, I feel radiating pain and achiness that can continue for several days and disturb my sleep. This time, instead of "enduring" it for several days (and whining to my husband) I booked an appt with Linda. Online booking is super easy and convenient. If you don't know what type of massage you want or need, it's OK! Because Linda will ask you and adjust as needed. When I told her my symptoms, she included some trigger points and stretches! Ahhhhhh She definitely focused on my neck, shoulder and arm (main complaint) but did not forget the rest of my body! ( I didn't realize my lower back and legs were also tight!) The CBD oil did not smell and was a thick oil. She told me not to shower tonight. The only bad thing about CBD oil is that if it gets in your hair, your hair looks super greasy. So bring a hat if you need to go somewhere afterward. Not sure if it was the CBD or the actual massage, but I slept really well and did not wake up multiple times, as I had been doing! My neck and shoulder felt so much better, very loose and I no longer felt the deep radiating ache! I plan to do bi-weekly appts with Linda, as part of my self-care routine!
