Being in the…read morewedding industry I've seen A LOT of photographers work, and when I first started sifting through photographers for my own wedding, I had about 20 on my list. This was probably the hardest decision I had to make out of all my vendors, but I'm thrilled that we chose Melissa. First of all, our engagement photos were incredible. We went to 2 locations, had 2 outfit changes, and she spent almost 3 hours with us. We are obsessed with our photos, I don't think I could have asked for anything better! She delivered them in about 2 weeks, which was great since we were on a time crunch to get Save The Dates out! Now for the wedding day! About a week prior to the wedding I hired Melissa for an extra hour! So glad I did! 8 hours is plenty, but that 9 hours really allows her to have more time pre-ceremony. She also met me at the venue a week or two before the wedding to go over everything and scope out the space. She arrived early on wedding day, and started shooting almost immediately. She was on top of everything throughout the day, and throughout the wedding I had several guests come up to me and make positive comments abut her. Melissa is a true professional, and a very down-to-earth and friendly person. She even sent us 6 or 7 photos two days after the wedding, which are absolutely stunning. I am thrilled to see the rest, and I know they will be just as amazing as the work she's already delivered to us. I am so happy with my decision to hire her, and would 100% recommend her! Thank you so much Melissa, you da best sweet cheeks!

That was nerve-racking for me! Nill made me comfortable right away. He was super flexible on the kind of package he could deliver. He allotted enough time for me to not feel rushed, at all. He took time to speak with me and get an understanding of what I needed so that he could really provide it. Nill is confident but not arrogant. At all times I felt a sense that he really cared about me feeling confident that I'd walk away satisfied with the result. He never once projected a "just trust me" vibe. I'll be going back to Nill for future headshots because I am convinced, now more than ever, that hiring a pro is a worthy investment in presenting your best self.

I had an absolutely phenomenal experience getting my head shots taken by Alaina. In the process of re-designing my small businesses web site, my web designer quickly made me realize that I needed much higher quality images of myself for everything from my web site, to my business facebook page, to linked in etc. I have almost no style, and a terrible sense of design. Alaina helped me every step of the way from what to wear, to how to treat my body for the few days leading up to the photo shoot (sleep, water intake etc). I brought 4 different outfits, and we photographed three of them to see what was working. We tried different lighting, styles, outfits, looks etc. Her office is very high tech - after each shoot we would go and look at the photos in HD on a large TV to see what we liked and what we didn't. Then we would go in and shoot some more. I am so happy with how the photos turned out. I am sending my girlfriend in asap to get headshots taken for her small business. The price was very fair for the service... and Alaina was so much fun to work it. I never knew being a model could be so much fun (I laughed the whole way through it). Upstate Headshots is without a doubt the go to photographer / headshot company to use the next time you need someone to take your shots.
