Cheap gas and relatively clean pumps. Never too crowded either, despite usually having some of the lowest prices in the area.

Nothing too special about this gas station other than it gets way too busy. I only pump Chevron and…read moreShell gasoline, super long story behind why I only choose these two companies to fill up my car but today I'll be talking about this Chevron in particular. I will drive 10 miles to come to this location because of their "Touch-less" carwash. And when you pump gas at this location you end up getting a discount on the carwash. I used to fill up my work truck every two days at this Chevron because it was right down the street from my "yard". And the reason I chose this Chevron was because of their huge selection of waters, energy drinks and snacks to get you through the day. Their hot foods were comparable to 7-11's also. And I'd occasionally try my luck getting a power-ball or mega-millions quick pick. Anyways their service is so-so. Not the friendliest group of owners, but I guess they deal with all kinds of people. And their restrooms are pretty gross too, but it's a gas station so what do you expect. If you need to use a cleaner restroom the Lowe's across the way is the place to go. Now the carwash they have is one of a kind! But I've had to wait for over an hour sometimes because the lines get way too long. I don't like going to places that have "soft-touch" because the brushes leave swirls all over your car that require hours of waxing to remove them. The "touch-less" carwash is basically pressurized water washing your car along with soap and spot free rinsing and 60 seconds of drying. If you go with the Ultimate wash you get this magical triple foam that looks like unicorn blood lathered all over your car that smells pretty f'n good and makes your car shine also. If you know of any other touch-less carwash drive thru's near this area let me know.

So they offer deals... The one in question was buy a burrito and get a free soda. Cool!…read more Not for ebt. Ebt doesn't get sales. Does that strike anyone else as the literal complete opposite to how it should be? So you're going to charge the people struggling, more.

This happened to me on the morning of June 5, about two months ago…read more A little after 10:00 a.m., I got into my car to go shopping. The moment I started the engine, there was an unbelievably loud noise. I was so shocked and confused that I didn't know what had happened and couldn't even move for a moment. I turned off the engine and started it again, but the same extremely loud noise continued. I suspected that something might be wrong underneath the car, so I checked under it and discovered that my catalytic converter had been stolen. I immediately drove to the Shell station on The Alameda. Tommy checked my car and quickly contacted a Toyota dealership to see if they had the catalytic converter in stock. Fortunately, they did. Tommy immediately ordered the part and told me that it could be installed the same day. Tommy said that I would receive a call when the work was finished and that I could come back in the evening to pick up my car. Just as promised, my car was ready that evening. Honestly, I believe that if I had taken my car somewhere else, especially directly to a dealership, it could easily have taken two weeks or even longer to replace the catalytic converter. What impressed me the most was how quickly and efficiently Tommy handled everything. The price was also much more reasonable than taking my car directly to the dealership. Tommy was kind, honest, and extremely helpful from beginning to end. I am truly grateful that I chose to bring my car to the Shell station on The Alameda. It was absolutely the right decision. I highly recommend Tommy to anyone looking for trustworthy, honest, and efficient car service.

I had a nice experience at "Alameda Shell" in San Jose…read more Not a great experience, but I got what I needed and the clerk was very nice. First off, Alameda Shell is in San Jose! I live in Alameda,CA, and I had to look at the sign twice. What? Yes, it's on The Alameda. Which means...."tree lined avenue" or a "a public walk shaded with trees." Anyway, I stopped for gas on a Monday evening. All the pumps were cash only. No card use due to the network was down. So I went inside and gave the friendly clerk $40, and asked to use the restroom. The restroom was decent for a gas station. Not "spit shine" clean, but okay. Other drivers didn't seem to mind paying cash, so the place was full of cars. Nice spacious gas station on The Alameda in San Jose.
