Dr. Blackman is THE man. I've tried all the quacks in the local area - and was told about all my back issues (I have a few) x-rays and all the add ons .. my entire life I've had chiropractic care. Never have I had to come in 3-4x week for the foreseeable future to "help my back". I have always come in when my back or neck was hurting - a few snap crackles and pops later - I was good as new and came back on an AS needed basis. When you're not insured for Chiro and it's 60$ a pop- it's a good way to lose money fast - NOT at Platinum- he has a health plan. I get 4 visits a month for less than 100$. I travel when I work so this is do-able. He doesn't tell you when to come back or that you "HAVE" to - which is what I love - and appreciate. I've been seeing him. Here and there for a couple months and my back is great. My mom is becoming a regular as her back and arthritis gives her heck and he provides great relief for her. Dr. Blackman is amazing. I started going to him almost a year ago. I got a wellness plan (which if offered I highly recommend it's so much easier) that allowed me to get adjusted regularly. For the past 5 years I had chronic, crippling sciatica pain on both sides of my back going to both my knees. Some days all I could do was sit and cry. As soon as I started my treatments, within 6 months I was pain free. I to this day and still pain free and plan on continuing treatment. Went and seen Dr. Blackman, my first time seeing a Chropractor and his office was very nice and professional environment. He greets you with a friendly welcome until it's your turn. He goes over what problems you are having and discusses what different possible procedures can be done and offers an adjustment. It felt amazing. I am going back for follow up to help with back pain to see if his adjustments can eliminate a lot of my back pain I suffer from. That evening I did feel better and it lasted a couple days. Doctor Ryan is very knowledgeable and an excellent chiropractor. He was able to pinpoint where and why I was having pain without me even having to say anything during the initial examination. He was able to relieve a pinched nerve in my lower back due to a compressed disk, realign my hips (a motorcycle accident left me with a slight limp which flares up), and adjust my neck to get rid of my tension headaches. Dr. Ryan is professional and has a relaxing bedside manner, which was quite reassuring considering that each adjustment made my spine sound like a Disneyland fireworks finale. I just want to say that Dr Blackman was amazing & I was visiting him at his CA location. I'm thankful for the short time in which he was taking care of me & my body cuz I'm caregiver so I already put a lot of stress on my body. Dr. Blackman has a picture on the wall in the waiting room of LEGO stacked; one level of the stack of LEGO is off-center; that has been me on several occasions as I keep active, I am not young, and not the best horseback (western) rider! Dr. Blackman has fixed me each time I have asked for his help including yesterday as I somehow hurt myself and felt pain in my ribs; hard to breathe with that pain; he gently adjusted me and overnight I am ninety percent better. Don't expect a stodgy white coat practitioner; he's professional and casual in attire and demeanor. He will ask you questions and listen to your concerns and questions patiently and attentively. As I have mentioned to him before, I did not used to believe in Chiropractors as they are typically too abrupt. Yes his actions may sound abrupt but not painful; just therapeutic. He is an amazing chiropractor! I moved to the OC temporarily for school not knowing a sole. I began to have bad neck and back issues from my line of work/school causing migraines. Dr. Ryan is a very knowledgeable and kind doctor. He works with the whole family children and adults. I didn't bring up symptoms because I thought they were unrelated but he asked if I was experiencing specific things and corrected the problem.
