Also, I experience a loud noise a couple nights ago and was worried I could have had loss of hearing from that. All of that led me to look on my insurance app for an ENT provider and found them. I gave them a call at 8:30am on a Friday and they were fully booked. I explained my situation and they were super kind by fitting me in. They took a look and it appeared that there was compacted wax blocking the ear. To rule out anything else did a hearing test. Overall, just appreciate the quickness in getting me in on a Friday which was a short day for them.

After calling 5+ times over the span of 2 weeks, told the prescription was being worked on each time, I was chastised by the nurse for missing a 6 month follow up appointment for which no reminder was sent, and when confronted for her unprofessional tone, she proceeded to hang up immediately. Like the very second her tone was returned to her, 'click.' Super unprofessional and frankly unhippocratic to gatekeep prescriptions for monetary gain BEYOND the hundreds paid hitherto. The medicine in question? Finasteride for hairline preservation, which is available by mail and advertised everywhere now. It would be different if this were for cancer treatment! Advice to the office: pick your battles and be content with the revenue collected thus far without pushing your luck- too far to avoid a scathing review in this case.

A nurse had to be contacted for the rescheduling. Of course, the nurse was not available so I was told I would get a call back. Two days later no call. Tried again and went through the same BS. Finally called and told the regular appointment scheduler to relay to "the nurse" to cancel the appointment. Other problems with this dermatology office are they have "forgotten" to get back with biopsy results and in one occasion they did get back but 10 months after the fact. Unfortunately, the result required further surgery. Luckily this surgery cleared the cancerous area but what if the cancer had spread. I now will find another dermatology office other than Dermatology Specialists of Florida. They are too big and lack attention to detail.

A Disgrace to all MDs…read more This doctor Amer Malik lied to me & discriminated against me, just like his staff did. The final act this practice did to me was to lie yet again and then call my husband names. They claimed a letter from a specialist was missing key language they needed to fill out a form for me to keep my job, but they refused to give me a copy of the letter the specialist sent. I got copy of that letter and the language Malik's woman "Fatima" said was missing was in fact in the letter. The doctor had what he needed but lied, intentionally, which has cost me my job, my home-he waited until the 11th hour. Malik-your trifles with insurance manipulation which you openly brag about in front of patients.. good luck w that. But with me- You crosse a line, medically, ethically, and in many other ways. And having your receptionist come outside as if high, screaming profanities at my husband and referring to him as a woman actually captures YOUR true character, and hers. Complaints incoming.
