My favourite kiosk in Aberystwyth somehow. I liked the old owners but the new people who work here…read moreare friendly, too. The shop is painted in yellow now. So you should not miss it. I love just getting the Sunday Times EVERY Sunday. This contributes to my perfect Sunday morning. Fresh and very good coffee, a nicely scented candle, Radio 2 (Tradition - Sunday Love Songs on Radio 2) or Internet Radio and the ST or the Independent. Here, I buy Y Cymro, the Welsh weekly paper and also milk and sometimes a chocolate bar; and / or Elle and VOGUE.
This was my friendly local newsagent for my first two years Aber and I still make the effort to…read morecall in sometimes. While the 24 hour Spa is convenient there's a lovely 'old-fashioned' feel to a little corner shop like this. It also sells local postcards and photo magnets (which I've never seen anywhere else in the town, despite a long search one day!) Worth a visit.

This shop is being renovated as I type so will hopefully be bigger and better once it is done…read more The shop itself sells a wide range of newspapers and magazines and children love the sweet section. they also sell great cornish (and other) pasties (hot) at lunchtime and a variety of cakes etc. The cornish pasties are the best in Hereford in my humble opinion. Although I haven't had one in a while so I hope they haven't changed supplier They also have a small range of toys and quite a good range (for a small shop) of groceries and things like greetings cards/stationary Soooo the shop is good. The staff however, are as about as rude as they get to be honest. It seems fine if they know you but you are treated like an outcast if they don't! The lady who works every morning has to rate as one of the rudest shop workers I have ever met. She will not look at customers (she looks away and almost sneers) and is abrasive in the way she talks. And she slams the change into your hand for good measure. Like I said, I like the shop, and her attitude (the other staff are similar, it has to be said) doesn't out me off using it every now and again but I always feel like a piece of muck when I leave there!!! Maybe it's just me?
