The gym is really outdated. I can't speak much for the free weights area, but In the cardio area,…read morethe treadmills, ellipticals, etc. are all falling apart it seems like. Some are held together by zip ties while others, the incline function doesn't work, etc. It's just hard to find a consistent working treadmill and with all the latest, new technology their equipment has fallen behind. Another thing is the kids play area. A gym shouldn't be a substitute for a babysitter. I understand that it can be hard for parents to have time to go to the gym and have someone watch their children, but plenty of other gyms don't have that option and frankly for good reasons. Kids running around yelling, using the equipment (when they're too young etc) and mostly causing a commotion. It's horribly distracting and that section needs to be removed in order to add more cardio equipment. As far as building goes, it could use a lot more natural light. There are plenty of walls that could be opened and have a few windows put in. When you walk into the gym, be prepared to not see natural sunlight for however long you're there. Minor thing, yes but the place can feel a bit dark at times. For the men's restrooms, having a door instead of a curtain would be much better and allow for more privacy. The front staff for the most part are friendly so that's a plus. Basically this place fills the spot that Martin needs but it could be so much better.

Good: * Great and friendly staff! They're quite helpful!…read more* Diverse equipment. Pretty much all of the basics for your fitness desires are here. * Shower rooms * Decent price. * 24/7 access (note: the front desk has a closing time but you can still get in if you're a member) * They offer dietary supplements and food products for your consumption: protein bars, shakes, water * Physical Therapy. * Wifi!!!! * TV's * Play area for children * Fitness classes for those who don't have a set workout routine * Good location * Bicycle rack for those gas-saving travelers Bad: *Although the equipment selection is diverse, they're are kind of lacking on supplies (even on a slow day/night, you may have to wait due to someone using the bench press before you). Cardio equipment has a good supply, however * Not so good bathroom facilities. They are B- clean but only have 2 toilets and have curtains instead of doors. * Is kinda small. Has a high ceiling, but not much elbow room with equipment. * Has wifi, but can be slow on a busy day. Ugly: * Honestly, it's not the most attractive of places. It's an old theater that's turned into a fitness center. I personally don't mind the look, but it's all on one's preference. Appearance shouldn't really matter that much, in my opinion, as long as the tools are there. Summary: Overall this place is actually pretty good. It may not hold up to the local campus fitness facility, but at least your payment allows you 24/7 access even on the holidays! I'd honestly rate it 4.5 stars, but that's yelp for ya......

Most importantly though, the gym is clean! Other members respect the guidelines of cleaning up after themselves, by putting back their weights where they belong and always wiping down stations. The few times I went during their operating hours I always saw someone either filling up spray bottles, mopping the floors, or cleaning the bathroom. It's not as crowded as other gyms/ fitness centers in the area and even members were always willing to answer any questions that I had.
