We bought our second class tickets for Warsaw to Prague at the Warsaw Central station. Lines can be long. For our purchase, the line was short, only 15 minutes. But lines can be long. So be patient.
The trains are decently clean in second class. The bathroom lacked paper towels and toilet paper, so travel prepared.
Price: It's a bargain. For two people, our tickets from Warsaw to Prague were only $250 Zl.
Comfort: Average for a European train
Food: Dining car was available for the first half of our trip. After that, we had a snack car and a concession guy that walked up and down the aisles. The concession guy spoke perfect English and had a great personality.
Demeanor of employees: Reserved
Wifi: our train had limited, intermittent, super-slow wifi. So don't bank on being connected.
Tip: (1) Seats are assigned. So read your ticket closely and make sure you're on the right car. (2) It's perfectly acceptable to bring your own snacks and drinks and eat on the train. (3) If the concession guy has hot schnitzel sandwiches, they are terrific. read more
