We booked our cheese fondue dinner here after our regular spot in the city fell through. I'm glad…read morethat we did.
It's a beautiful building (inside & out) with an amazing amount of history. The staff were amazingly friendly and informed us that fondue is served outside and to dress warmly. They weren't kidding. We were the only people on the deck where fondue is served but they had blankets for us, a fire burning and a Christmas tree erected.
We started with Glühwein, got a bottle of local Aagau wine and ordered the 'as much as you can eat' fondue. Along with the piping hot cheese we were served bread, steamed new potatoes, diced pickles and pickled new onions. Yum, is about all I can say.
In addition to the blankets we were given warmed bean bags (twice) to help keep us warm. Well, the second glass of Glühwein as dessert was really great.
We've already decided that if we don't go back for fondue, we'll be back for another meal at some point. Thanks for a great evening!
