From the moment you enter you are welcomed and greeted with so much warmth and hospitality, the staff immediately feel like family. On top of the above average treatment, the way they work together on a busy night is amazing. I have yet to taste anything less than mouthwatering here, and the truffle pasta (Tagliolini ak tartufo nero) I believe it's called, is by far the best tasting pasta my husband and I have ever had. I recommend their white pinot, scallops, pulpo , and the must is that truffle pasta. The grappa is excellent as well. All in all , this is hands down our favorite place to eat, and plan on going as many times as we can while we are out here. The Al Forno Pasta with complimentary breadsticks was rich, cheesy, and full of flavor, and the cheese pull alone deserves applause. The Fried Seafood Appetizer was crispy and satisfying without being greasy, and the side salad was fresh and well balanced, simple but done right. Portion sizes across the board were perfect, filling without being overwhelming. I also had the Italian Colada Cocktail, which was refreshing and nicely balanced, though I wouldn't mind the drinks being a little stronger. That said, it's a minor note for me since I really only drink socially. A standout moment was the free birthday tiramisu they bought out while singing Happy Birthday. It was light, airy, and decadent without being over indulgent, honestly the perfect way to end the meal. Bread is not served, unless you ask, and I'm guessing you will be charged. We had the carbonara and a simple tomato and basil pasta. Both were very good and very hot (heat). One pasta is enough to feed to people so if you want to save room for dessert, just order one entree. The pizzas are medium sized and in our case would have probably been enough for two as well. Great ambience. The only set back is the musing blaring from the French bar next door. You may not run into this during the day or weekday evenings. We went on a Friday evening. Prices are very reasonable and they do speak English as well as German.
