The pies are always fresh, have very good dough (not too salty - exactly right), cheese and other ingredients, so that they don't make you feel "dirty" or too full after you ate one. I also love the fact that we never got a pizza that was burned at the bottom. They also serve a couple of good pasta's, and pretty good wine.

Good, but slightly too pricey Italian restaurant. I live nearby and there is no other Italian…read morerestaurant here, which is the main reason why I come back here one every few months. I also think they are over-doing the "Italian act" a little bit - the way how they respond to *everything* in Italian just feels fake to me. I get that some people probably find it charming, but I don't. On the other hand, they are still in business while many other restaurants have had to close, so they are clearly doing something right.

It may look small from the outside, but it is actually quite commodious on the inside, and it also exudes a warm environment. The servers are quick to welcome guests, and they also speak English! Which is great because my German did not get me very far, but they still went ahead and tried to converse with me in German! (Good for practicing!) I had the lambrusco wine, and I am generally not a fan of wine, but this was really good! And it was a little over 4 Euros for 0,25L, not too bad. (: I also ordered the spaghetti with bacon and egg. The proportion was really good, and the price was only about 7,50 Euros. This DEFINITELY beats most Italian restaurants I have been to in California -- especially Olive Garden!! I really enjoyed my service and meal here. I may have to come back more often because it was that welcoming. (:

The pizza's were cheap and excellent, especially the one with the parmaschinken and rucola. Great to come in winter during Mussel season as well but over all the food is not outstanding and is worthy of 3 stars, Things tend to be sauce heavy rather than let the dish itself speak to you. However, Laurus gets an extra star for the service. Rosario ( or as my nickname for him "Smiley") made it always a joy to dine here as he always brightened up any meal with his charm!
